While some people associate doctors with sick care, my hope is that my patients know they can come to me both when they are not feeling well, and when they are looking for ways to live a healthier life. I chose internal medicine as my specialty both because of the huge breadth of services I can provide, and because it allows me to focus on preventive care. I find it so rewarding to help patients adjust lifestyle or behavioral choices so they can feel better and improve overall health. \n I started my medical career as a registered nurse; I greatly value what I learned about providing quality bedside care from my nursing days. I also worked as a clinical research associate for numerous clinical trials, where I learned the critical importance of maintaining rigorous standards of clinical practice to prevent harm to patients. These experiences continue to influence my practice, ensuring that my patients benefit from a highly meticulous and patient-centered approach. \n Keeping up with my daughter and her extracurricular activities occupies much of my time away from work. I enjoy traveling, taking part in community events and spending time with friends. My natural inclination toward order and organization extends to my personal life, where I am often the one to tidy up after gatherings, wash dishes, and lend a hand in creating an organized environment.
