Harassment of 71 yrs Old Widow with Major Health Issues by Nibav Home Lifts for not providing the lift and violating their Terms & Conditions
I Mrs. Lakshmanan a 71 yrs old widow suffer from Asthama, major Heart Prolems & afractured my back due to Osteoporosis. Therefore, Lift was an immediate & Major Priority. The Sales Team of Nibav Lifts Learning of my immediate and urgent requirements lured me to buy the Lift installed in their Show Room in Sohna Road Gurgaon, Haryana because the model had to be replaced with an upgraded model. This lift was therefore, redundant as far as ‘Nibav Home Lifts’ was concerned. They made a false and fraudulent promise that the Lift would be delivered at the earliest definitely before the Time Line of 2 months as it did not require any Assembling. It had to be just moved after Servicing & installed in my home which is 5-6 km away from their Show Room I was trapped into paying the 50% Advance which was paid on 26/03/2024. After receiving the Advance they did not bother to either Install the Lift or Refund the money. On 28/05/2024 after completion of 60 days I requested for Cancellation of my Order and Refund of Advance. However, there was no action from Nibav Home Lifts. On 20/06/2024 (more than a month later) they sent an “Agreement Of Settlement” which is very ill logical & deceptive They have tried to conceal important facts (a) Type of Lift i.e. Pre-fabricated Lift which did not require manufacturing (b) Date of Placing the Order (c) Reasons for delay. The most ridiculous and unbelievable statement is the document is that Nibav is trying to put a ban on me by asking me to make a commitment that I shall not make any negative reviews about the company on any social media platforms------“ This is against the Provision Article 19 (1) (a) of the Indian Constitution and Principles of Democracy. Imposing restrictions on going to Social Media is totally wrong and against the Fundamental rights issued to a citizen under the Constitution. This clearly implies that Nibav Home Lifts is guilty and scared of condemnation by public for causing harassment, mental torture to a 71 yrs old widow with multiple health issues. Being a person of Principles I refused to sign this document, therefore, Nibav did not Refund the Advance. Nearly Rs Five Lakhs has been lying with Nibav for nearly one year. Nibav Home Lifts has caused me harassment, trauma, mental tension resulting in worsening of my health. Ultimately I had no alternative but to take them to the Consumer Court. I have waited for nearly one year to write this Review but now I feel it is high time because I don’t want other people to have similar experiences. I writing this review just to warn people not to trust a Company like Nibav Home lifts which does not keep to its commitment. It is a Fraud Company without any ethics and not worth trusting. There are numerous other companies which are making Home Lifts so why go for Nibav Home Lifts?

The product itself seems promising, but the customer service is extremely difficult to deal with. In short: if you need a functioning elevator within a reasonable time frame, I would not recommend this company. I never leave poor reviews but this has truly exceeded all my expectations.
We had a partial installation of the elevator in April, but the handover was not completed. Despite trying to contact Nibav multiple times, we couldn’t get anyone to finalize the handover. Our customer representative, Ashley, tried to help but was unable to schedule the completion. She repeatedly promised to get back to us but never did.
On July 2024, heavy rainfall led to flooding in our basement, which damaged the still-unfinished elevator. Our insurance company requested a quote and a report from Nibav in order to begin our repairs. Nibav is unable to provide any letter as they require the head technician to first complete a review.
On Aug 28 Kumar the head technician is flying from India back to Canada along with their COO and they are able to come by to review the damaged elevator. He tells me that the process requires his report to go through all the legal and financial departments since this is the first time it has happened to them.
Fast forward to September 16, 2024—our new customer rep, Suraj, finally informs us that the report is ready, but they will only provide it after the handover is completed. The delay, according to him, was due to a holdback fee from our developer. I offered to pay the remaining balance myself if they could schedule a handover appointment. Suraj said he could likely arrange it for the next day or Saturday and promised to confirm within 20 minutes.
I made it clear to Suraj that I needed a confirmed time due to my work meetings next day and that I was willing to make adjustments to my schedule and pay the outstanding balance. However, Suraj didn’t call back and only informed me the next morning—20 minutes before my first meeting—that the technicians would not be coming.
In conclusion, the staff seem either overwhelmed or indifferent to customer needs. I cannot recommend this company, especially if you’re hoping for a timely solution. Thankfully the elevator does look great in your home and even better if it ever becomes functional.
Update Jan 2025 - Updated the review to 3 star as after several repairs the elevator is now functional. We are awaiting final cleaning and installation of the floor panels around the elevator.

Very shady practices, prices fluctuate very randomly, I have been quoted $43000 for two floors and also $79000. A technician also told me they get made for less than $10000, just a company trying to take advantage of the elderly population. Very scummy. Be aware.
We had an elevator installed in our main building and our overall experience was good. We did have some technical issues with the elevator after its installation. Communication from Nibav during that time wasn’t the best however, they did return twice to fix the elevator and were successful in getting it to working condition. Which, being in Newfoundland, couldn’t have been a small expense for an Ontario-based company. Our elevator looks fantastic and we are happy with the product.
We recently had a Nibav home elevator installed. The product is superb! It looks striking and functions beautifully. We hope we are a long ways from being dependent on it for our vertical mobility but wanted to have the assurance just in case. Right now, the elevator is pretty handy when carrying loads of laundry from the basement to the second floor and heavy groceries from the main floor to the basement. Nibav's installation teams were first rate. There were two teams, one a Nibav sub to do structural mods and the other being Nibav's own technicians assembling, installing and commissioning the lift. Was it all plain sailing? No. I did encounter challenges in Nibav complying with in-process documentation requirements that I had included in the contract. It is likely that Nibav is not familiar with such requirements but they were standard commercial practiced employed in most countries. The important point to note is that Nibav assigns a dedicated customer service representative and he worked hard to resolve the matters. As a person of Indian origin, I am also very proud of the fact that Nibav is an Indian company with worldwide entities and that the lift was manufactured in India.
November 2024: We have now completed six months of trouble free use of the elevator and Nibav technician Jason paid a friendly visit to check everything out. We did have a small piece of gasket material coming out of its slot and Jason quickly fixed it. Jason also did general cleaning of the top of the elevator cab. Overall, very satisfied with the service.

Our experience with Nibav has been excellent. While there have been a few glitches along the way, we found the staff to be concerned and helpful in resolving. Our recent contact person Ashley has been particularly helpful in getting prompt responses to issues.
The finished product is a real enhancement to our house in appearance and function.

We love our NIBAV lift.
We were looking for an elevator in 2023. We found the NIBAV lift serves our needs. The lift doesn’t require expensive renovations to be installed. We ordered the Series III G2 in November 2023. The lift shipped from India and installed in August 2024. NIBAV lift adds a lift in our lives and house value! The operation is easy and convenient to use. BoBo hates the drag up the stairs. Now he enjoys the ride upstairs with the lift. It’s worth the wait as the Chinese said good things come from those who wait! Thank you NIBAV!

I’m in the birth and delivery stage of my Nibav elevator and I’m so excited. I had the pleasure of dealing with Joanna who worked with me, addressed my concerns, and kept in touch and coordinated the installation. The demolition work begins tomorrow and I can’t wait to see it all morph and fall into place. Thanks Joanna for all the help and hand holding. Thanks Sami for keeping me posted on the progress till delivery. Will definitely post once my baby is installed.

The crew worked hard under Jason to do the initial installation but non-availability of tradesmen has led to delay, disarray of things in the home and and disappointment in the way it has been handled. I was promised an elevator in 5-7 working days. I am not happy.
Sept 13 - What can I say? Do NOT sign blindly with Nibav. Make sure you have a “confirmed delivery and handover” clause with the date. Any delays and they have to pay a penalty. My elevator is STILL not functioning. We agreed to take Aug 6-30 out of the picture as I was travelling but they were to begin immediately in September and complete the handover. Not done yet. I am so disappointed, frustrated and angry at the very poor service. The elevator costs a bomb - and you pay even more in worry, stress and peace of mind. Will never recommend this company ever. Great service till they get your $$ and then you are toast!

After considerable research and comparing many models, we decided on purchasing a Nivab home elevator. And we have not been disappointed! From our initial contact with Nivab through installation, the workmanship and service have been impeccable. The lift itself is eye-catching; its sleek, black design blends into the decor of our home seamlessly. It is quiet and highly functional. Couldn't be more satisfied!
