I wish we found Kanna Construction a year sooner! After using a different contractor for our primary bathroom last year and having lots of issues, we wanted someone else for our kids' bathroom remodel this year. Sean and his team were FANTASTIC! They are hard workers who work to a very high standard of customer satisfaction and quality. They finished the project right on time. If we had any questions or needed adjustments along the way, Sean and his team were always happy to accommodate and were never bothered by our requests.

We were so happy with their work, we asked them to do another bathroom right away downstairs. Once again they worked hard, finished in great time, and truly cared about the quality of their work.

They are communicative, efficient, fairly priced (not the cheapest, but also not egregious), friendly, tidy, and on-time (working set hours each day, and also finishing the project when expected). We appreciate (especially based on past experience) that everyone working on our project is a Kanna employee, not a sub, which helps maintain the consistency of work and smooth transition between each stage of the project. We would happily use them for any future projects, and have already recommended them to friends and neighbors looking for a contractor.

We had three site visits and estimates from highly-rated local (SD) construction/improvement project firms with the intent of remodeling the largely unusable loft in our guest bedroom. Best among them, Sean from Kanna understood our goals and construction requirements to deliver a safe, functional, and awesome looking space, at the least estimated cost as well.
Sean, Kim, and their team were wonderful to work with. Communication was thorough and clear, we collaborated well to make best decisions, attention to detail and follow-through were excellent, and both schedule and final cost met expectations. We love the loft! This was a good experience. Kanna will be our first call for future projects.

We hired Kanna Construction to remodel our primary bathroom/bedroom and guest bathroom. Sean Kanna and his crew are amazing. The job was finished on time and on budget, to the penny. Sean's installers were friendly and professional, making adjustments in the moment, as needed. Sean identified a gas leak in our laundry room, which had the potential for serious injury and property damage. The city inspected the work at appropriate intervals and everything is great. I would definitely use Sean Kanna and Kanna Construction again for any remodel needs.

Thank you Sean and Kanna Construction for a beautiful kitchen remodel! They took out two walls to open up the kitchen and create an open design, letting in so much light and a lovely view to the whole kitchen, living room and dining room now. It is a big upgrade! Sean is very easy to work with and it has been a pleasure to work with him and his excellent crew. This is the second time we have worked with Kanna Construction, and any future work I will definitely do with them.

Sean and his team were great the entire process. From estimate to completion the quality of work stayed true. It was a big job and we asked for changes through the process and Sean and his team accommodated. I couldn't be happier with the results.

Kanna Construction did a great job on our window installation, replacing old double pane window where the frames had rotted. I love looking out the beautiful new windows with the clean trim. Color matched well. Thank you! Sean and all the workers were great.

Sean and his team worked with on a bathroom addition for our home in San Diego. The process from setting up a meeting to getting a quote, through construction, was easy to manage and straightforward. I was working from home while the work was being done and they were great about communicating in advance what work would be done on any given day. They were helpful with design recommendations as well and we're very happy with the final result.

As an additional example of their high level of customer service, a few months after our project was wrapped up we noticed a few minor cracks developing in the grouting of our shower. Sean had one of his team members out that same week to patch it up and make sure the issue wouldn't spread.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Kanna Construction, and despite a few hiccups along the way, my experience was overwhelmingly positive. The project faced some early challenges due to miscommunications with the project manager and designer. However, Sean, the owner (just realized this), truly shined as the king of operations. His professionalism, expertise, and unwavering commitment to quality turned what could have been a hot mess experience into a success story.

From the outset, Sean demonstrated an exceptional level of skill and dedication. He was always on-site early, coordinating with the crew and ensuring that every detail was attended to with meticulous care. Even when unexpected problems arose, Sean's solution-oriented approach kept the project moving forward without compromising on the high standards we had set.

Kanna Construction did a great job with our small bathroom remodel. We interviewed several contractors, but ultimately chose Kanna. After meeting with Sean, the owner, we were confident his team could finish the project on time. We were on a strict timeline because we had to move out of our unit during the renovations and into a temporary rental. We had no time for delays, excuses or contractors not showing up. Since we hired Kanna about two months before our project was to begin, Sean could accommodate our schedule. He was even willing to work around our flooring contractor, who had to come in after demo of the bathroom, but prior to finishing work.

We created the overall design, since we knew exactly what we wanted, but Sean met with us several times to go over our choices, make suggestions, and ensure everything he needed was on our list. He encouraged us to get everything well in advance, due to shipping delays and unforeseen issues. We were happy we followed his suggestion, since our vanity top and some of our tile arrived broken and had to be reordered. Prior to the commencement of the project, Sean came over to check everything we had purchased.

Sean dedicated a specific team to our project, which meant the same project manager, Joaquin, and team showed up every day. We’ve been through larger projects than this one, and contractors not showing up always seems to be an issue. Not with Kanna. They showed up when they said they would show up, and worked efficiently. We encountered a few minor issues here and there, but Sean always made sure they were corrected to our satisfaction. We even added on additional work, the tiled wall behind the vanity, after we had extra tile left over from the shower surround. When the project was complete, Sean stopped by personally to inspect everything and had his team come back to fix small things, to make sure it met his, and our expectations.

Sean and his entire team were very pleasant to work with, and Sean answered all our questions and concerns in a timely manner. Overall, we are extremely happy with the outcome. The before and after photographs speak for themselves.

I interviewed six contractors to remodel two bathrooms. Kanna was responsive and their bid was competitive- not the cheapest but not the most expensive.

They started on time (within three weeks or so) and the workers were very courteous and concerned about cleaning up. I had no issues leaving the house and having them continue to work.

The one issue I had was not having the project leader asking me the right questions about where to place electrical outlets, fixtures, etc. A fee time the work needed to be redone. As this was my first remodel I didn't know what questions to ask but quickly learned. Once we overcame that, and the communication was better, the project went more smoothly.

The workmanship was great and Sean, the owner, visited often to ensure things were moving along and issues were addressed (which they were)

If I had to do another job I'd use them again.
