VBGB Beer Hall and Garden/Restaurant

Have always enjoyed this place but I was recently diagnosed with an onion allergy and the staff was so patient and helpful in checking to make sure my chicken wasn’t cooked with any and my salad dressing didn’t have any in it. I even heard the give the back of house a heads up that there was an onion allergy. Thank you so much for not making me feel like an inconvenience or a bother and for taking it seriously.

I loved the vibes time you walk through the door your welcomed with a smile. And the manager fix my problem with grace no attitude but great customer service. They also have had games like corn hole and volleyball 🏐 outside and inside

The best pregame spot in the city for any Skyla, Fillmore, or The Underground show! Great local craft beer, yummy food, quality customer service, knowledgable staff, and a cool atmosphere! They offer a covered patio, a private event space AND validate parking as well!

Highly recommend grabbing a bite here before a concert! It’s an easy walk across the parking lot to the amphitheater. We got a spiked slushie, loaded tater tots, and the mac n cheese. Our food came out faster than expected for such a packed small place, the overall service was excellent! 🤩*Note that there is a different menu on concert nights*

A neat place for sure. Would love to come play volleyball here. Food was decent and the staff were all friendly. A pretty big place with some games. It was very loud here though. They do validate parking which is nice.

Very nice staff. I never got names, but the cashier (she had glasses and a few tattoos) and the bartender (tall with a beard) were very nice and helpful. Especially right after a concert at the Underground, the service was very much appreciated. Thank y'all for the great food and service :)

This is a family favorite! We have been coming here for years and it gets better each time we come. Super family friendly- lots of board games and chalk for the kids to play with. Great food and a nice and relaxed atmosphere. The managers were walking around checking on things, and obviously care how everything is going. Great staff too!

Stopped in before a concert. Saw a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad wrap "daily special" that sounded good. Server brought my fries and took my number without bringing food or drink. After waiting a little while, We had to ask someone for what I ordered. It quickly came very cold in a plastic container straight from the fridge, kinda bitter tasting. When I read daily special, didn't think i would get yesterday's leftovers. Did not finish the wrap unfortunately, but ate all the fries. Beer was good too.

This is such a fun place! In addition to the fabulous location, it is generally a wonderful place to hang out. Great beverage options and the food is tasty. They have trivia on Thursdays and league volleyball Thursdays and Sundays. Because of the location, this is also a great place to pregame before a concert at Skyla, The Underground, or The Fillmore. As long as you order a beverage or food item, they will validate your parking for the evening. Make sure to try their pretzel with beer cheese - it is so good!

Got the pulled pork sandwich and the beer cheeseburger. Sweet potato fries and tots were excellent. Pulled pork meat was pretty good. The burger patty was sad...really sad. If you told me that it was defrosted moments before serving I would totally believe it.

Char- grilled wings and a side of tater tots. I was satisfied. The wings were charred with a spicy BBQ sauce. I loved the fact that they were moist and not dried out

The tater tots were soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. I dunked them in a side of buffalo sauce.

#VGBG food has come a very long way. I'll return to try other items.

Visited several times before concerts, and review is for August 16th, 2023. Nice little place to grab a quick bite and draft beer before a concert at the Amphitheatre or Music Hall that are both located next door. Food is ordered at the counter, and swiftly delivered to your table. Food service was fast, but the chicken club sandwich was a little dry. Plenty of craft beer on tap, but they would not serve samples "because it's a night with a show at the Amphitheatre". As a craft beer enthusiast, I'd prefer to sample a few before spending $10 for a pint. There is plenty of seating inside, and they have a large outdoor patio, most of which is covered. The patio is surrounded by volleyball courts, so that adds a little bit of visual entertainment. All of the staff was very friendly, but the food and lack of beer samples set them back a star.

My wife and I took our daughter to a concert at The Fillmore on Friday night and we decided to hang out here while she was at the show. We were able to park right by the building, which made for an easy exit when we left (and they validate when you eat or drink there - AWESOME!!) The food was great and served quickly. They had 30 taps with all different types of beers. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. They allowed us to sample as many of the beers as we liked so we were able to try lots of new ones we hadn’t seen before. We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely return.
