Also a special thanks to Mr. saken and Mr. Archi. They came before the actual time, manage the moving in no time. They are cheerful and really took pride with what they are doing. I wanted to share my positive experience with Local Motion movers today. They arrived on time and were very friendly and courteous. They took care of everything, including handling very heavy furniture with ease. Their professionalism and efficiency made the moving process stress free! I would recommend them to anyone in need of movers.

I hired movers from Local Motion to help with my move from Alexandria to DC recently. Local Motion provided 2 guys and a truck who arrived at my Alexandria apartment complex on a Saturday afternoon. They proceeded to efficiently move boxes and wrap larger pieces of furniture, such as a dresser, a table, and desks, with blankets and that movers saran wrap, and then carry those large items down 2 flights of stairs and into the truck.

About 45 minutes later, the truck pulled into the parking lot for the DC apartment building. The guys then unloaded my stuff carefully, adeptly squeezed into a small elevator and up to my new apartment. They worked quickly and professionally and finished moving and unloading in just over 2 hours. I also had a pleasant experience coordinating my move with Lydia... I would hire them again for a move in the DMV.

I wish I could give them 10 stars! This is the second time we have used Local Motion Movers, once for our sons move a year ago and now to move our elderly parents from a house to an apartment. They are simply amazing--they communicate their plan clearly, they are so careful and work quickly and efficiently. Truly everything you could want in a mover.

Second time I've used DtLMWM, and for great reason. These guys are machines. Biceps as thick as my neck. Seriously, they emptied a chock full 2 bed loft in the same time Nova Express Movers took to empty my previous single bedroom flat. Reasonable prices for outstanding service, would recommend to anyone moving in NOVA.

I found Do The Local Motion With Me movers via Yelp. They had good reviews so I decided to go with this company. I had a great experience and I highly recommend them! They were quick and professional. I was in contact with Lydia the entire way from setting up my move appointment to a couple days after when she sent me my requested receipt since I paid in cash. She was quick and responsive and upfront about all the fees and moving rates.

There was a $250 moving fee (covers a truck, 2 movers, protective wrapping on furniture, etc, and each hour is $110 with 2 hours minimum required. There are other fees but my move didn't fall under those. I had to put a deposit down to reserve my appointment date and it was subtracted from my total moving cost. My move took 3 hours. The movers were professional, quick and efficient. I would definitely choose to go with this moving company in the future!

I recently used Do the Local Motion with Me Movers to move a 2bd apartment into another apartment across town. I was very impressed with how they handled my move. The scheduler was incredibly responsive and the moving rates were competitive and lower than many other local companies. On the day of my move, the move team showed up 10 mins early ready to work and took amazing care with my furniture. Everything was padded, wrapped, and arrived without damage or debris on the other end. They were very efficient while being careful and didn’t waste any of my time to run up rates. I was charged exactly for the actual move time. Would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone in the area!

Do the Local Motion Is a fantastic moving company! Did an interstate move with them (360 miles from DC). The communication from the initial inquiry to completing the move was excellent. Lydia, the move coordinator, answered all of my questions and provided a lot of helpful information up front. On moving day, they showed up on time and ready to work. The movers were efficient, yet very gentle with our possessions. Not one item broke or was damaged. This is my 12th move and I’ve NEVER experienced terrific before this. I’m quite sure I will move again in three years, and I already know I want to use this company to move me. They are great at what they do and provide a level of customer service you just don’t get these days. THANK YOU!
