Best Ever Movers & Junk Removal - Moving Company Vancouver

I used this company to move from a small studio to a studio just 10 minutes away. The two movers worked consistently, but the job still took 5.5 hours, which shocked me. It was more than three hours just to get everything into the truck. Everything was pre-packed, both elevators were reserved, and only a couple of items needed to be wrapped. I’ve moved the same amount before and it never took this long. The whole time it felt drawn out — like using a large dolly for just a small box and cushion and moving small items one at a time — which gave the impression the hours were being padded. At one point the building manager came out to talk to me and noted that it was taking a lot longer than he normally saw. At my new place, when we were unloading, I ran into one of my new neighbours who offered to help them move stuff because he saw how inefficiently it was going. It was nice of him but I declined as we were near the end.

The move also started off poorly when one mover challenged me about where to stop the truck, asking if I’d pay a ticket if they got one. A move is already stressful without that kind of aggressive approach. Then at the end, I was told I couldn’t pay by e-transfer even though I’d been told earlier that I could, which added more frustration.

I was feeling a bit bothered by the whole experience and thought I should call and speak to the owner, at least to get a sense if he thought the amount of time it took was reasonable. When I called, the same mover answered, claimed to be the manager and asked why I was calling. I said that I just wanted to speak to the owner, so he told me he wasn't available. I asked him when he would be available and he said he was out of town and didn't know. When I asked for the owner’s name, he gave me a random first name...Bob or something... that was clearly not genuine. It felt like he was deliberately blocking me from speaking to the owner. Needless to say he didn't offer to get him to call me back.

As someone who also runs a service business that charges hourly, I know how important fairness and professionalism are. Unfortunately, this experience left me questioning whether I received that level of service here, both during the move and afterwards.

‏I had an amazing experience with this moving company. They showed up early with a team of four, worked quickly, and were easy to communicate with, no fuss at all. I had a closet that was super tricky to move, but they handled it with care and made it work!

When I called for a quote, I got an exact number within 10 seconds, no upselling, no long calls, just a clear price. Every other company I contacted kept me on the phone for 30–40 minutes talking about insurance and why they were “the best,” and then pressured me to lock in the quote. Some even kept emailing and texting me until the day before the move. These guys were refreshingly different. Fast, professional, and respectful of my time. Highly recommend!

Great service and movers with a very reasonable price. The staff were nice, friendly and moved everything out at a reasonable time. The only constructive feedback is communication. It would have been nice to have good communication back and forth at times as I wasn't sure if the move was really confirmed or details about the move as I felt there was a lack of communication. Secondly, we needed a truck to move our 2 bedroom condo and our storage off site on the way to our new home, the movers came in a 3 ton truck with 3 movers however they did not have enough space to move my storage so I had to spend an extra day to move things myself. I would recommend them regardless.

I can’t say enough good things about Dave and his team of Vancouvers Best Movers.
They arrived on time, were friendly and polite to all throughout the day and got the job done in good time.
I was concerned about the set up of two large TVs in an unusual spot but they took care of it in no time.

Great movers. Added an extra person when they saw how big the job was. Very transparent about pricing with the change which we agreed with. They were so careful wrapping and placing our items. Best experience with Ray, Max and Dave. I called them on short notice since the previous company (not naming) I was dealing with cancelled last minute. Best Ever Movers tackled the move with ease, arrived on time, and handled our heavy furnitures with care. They even disassembled and assembled our king size bed which is complicated to construct.
