I've been in the United States for eight years and I've worked in three states. Post-COVID, I worked in hospital medicine for a year. It changed my perspective and inspired me to pursue family medicine. As a family medicine provider, I can promote wellness and preventive care and help keep patients from needing to go to the hospital. My philosophy is that everyone deserves dignity and respect, which aligns with Mercy's values. That's why I chose to come here, and I'm very happy about that. I like to teach and being in primary care gives me the opportunity to teach patients about their health and learn from them too. It also lets me meet people from different backgrounds and different walks of life. It's teamwork, we're constantly learning from each other. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing a patient actually feeling great and having a better quality of life, and saying, 'This is how I was six months ago, and this is how I am now.' That's life-changing medicine for them.
