I researched and got estimates from three major roofers in the Sonoma/Marin region. One was outrageously expensive, one was on the low price side with no effort to come out and visit. Crandall's price fell right in the middle, and going "on line" and researching roof prices it seemed like their price right where it should be. They arrived and inspected and explained everything. We opted NOT to reroof a free standing garage as they told us it wasn't necessary. That was appreciated! They gave us three options based on material costs. We went with the mid range.They suggested alteration to our poorly vented roof which we added on for not too much money. They did some minor carpentry repairs for the "going hourly rate" around here. They arrived with their own port-a-potty, which meant no workers using our house, which we appreciated. Always cleaned up the work area at the end of the day. They were in communication before during and after the job. The crew did a fantastic job of protecting our just finished home paint job. Nice polite guys who REALLY work the butts off!!! Amazing good crew. Roof warranty transferable to next owner, which really is good for resale one day. Thanks guys good job!

It was very nice to have Crandall Roofing install our new roof. The crew was very nice and helpful throughout the entire process. They were quick in providing a good estimate and installed our roof in a very reasonable time. We hope the roof lasts for a long time and that we have no problems in the upcoming winter to be able to test it. I'd recommend Crandall Roofing.

Experience was good from the time of estimate, to tear off, to install, to clean up. Crew was exceptional. I had Good communication with all from office personnel to roofers. Roofers were Hard workers who didn’t mess around. They left my property clean as if no one was there. Shout out to Lorenzo and his crew for a job well done.

I am more than happy with the work done by Crandall Roofing. In the initial stage, Mike walked me through what to expect and gave me a fair price for the work. During the actual roofing project, the team that was assigned to work on my roof were incredibly kind, responsible and worked together. At the end, they cleaned up any mess that was left. We have only good things to say about this business. We had our property in Guerneville re-roofed after finding extensive damage during our remodel, and were so pleased with the quality of the work and of the care the team took of our home that we also decided to re-do the mansard roof with metal material (in lieu of shingles) thereafter. It was the icing on the cake, aesthetically, and the team went above and beyond. Additionally, Crandall was communicative and responsive if and when any issues arose, and we greatly appreciate that.

The photo you see was taken by my next-door neighbor last night, just before sunset. A major wind and rainstorm was forecast to hit by 5 a.m., with severe rain and gusts exceeding 50 mph. Staring at the exposed section of my three-story home’s roof, I felt a moment of panic.

Unsure of what to do, I reached out to my neighbor, Mike DeSouza, an estimator with Crandall Roofing. Despite being in the middle of an evening commitment, Mike didn’t hesitate—he said he’d come by as soon as he was free, around 8:30 p.m.
“In the dark?” I asked, picturing the sheer height of the damaged section.

“I’ll be able to check it out,” he replied in a calm, reassuring tone.
Right on time, headlights appeared in my driveway. Mike got out, set up his ladder, turned on his headlamp, and got to work—all while I stood on the ground, marveling at his confidence and skill. Using professional-grade materials designed for flat roofs, which was the only material he had available at home, he secured a temporary fix to protect my home from the impending storm.

Before leaving, Mike promised to return as soon as the weather cleared, not just to provide an estimate for a permanent repair but to inspect the condition of my entire 20-year-old roof. His commitment to going above and beyond was evident.

As he loaded his equipment back into his truck, I thanked him profusely. He simply smiled and said, "No problem."

Today, as the rain pours and the wind howls, I think about how easy it would have been for Mike to ignore my message or say he was unavailable. Instead, he extended himself in a big way, at a critical moment.

After extensive research into local companies, roofing concepts, and shingle types and brands, we engaged Crandall Roofing to replace our large 28-year-old roof. The whole experience, from initial site visit to final walkthrough, was excellent and highly professional. The end result looks wonderful, and we are so happy to have an attractive roof that will protect our home from the extremes of Sonoma County weather. We selected Malarkey Legacy shingles due to their superior durability, best-in-class ranking, and color choices. The final result really shows the quality of both the product and its installation.

We primarily worked with Daniel, Crandall's main project coordinator. He was clearly the most knowledgeable and helpful estimator of all those that visited us and submitted quotes. The communication with the Crandall office staff was great, from the initial contract, site preparation, project status, the permit and paperwork, and final payment. We always knew what to expect and what the next step was.

The project itself was very well run, and we preferred the smaller and highly skilled crew over the nearby 1-day rip-and-replace jobs by other roofing companies. As an engineer, I appreciated the attention to detail, especially on our complex roof, and how tidy the job site was left at the end of each day. Everyone in the crew was very friendly and considerate, and always addressed our questions and concerns. Special thanks to Antonio (aka "Tiger"), a skilled craftsman who replaced many rotten fascia and other boards, and fabricated some difficult pieces. Daniel took numerous photos throughout, which helped document the degraded roof structure under the old shingles, the repair work, and also the amazing final result.

I’m a painting contractor who runs a company with many employees and moving parts. As such I tend to hold other contractors to my own level of professionalism. Crandall Roofing, especially Daniel, were awesome from the start. Their quote was very reasonable. And the quality of the work is incredible. Good communication, good employees, respectful, clean up was great. I would say no need for many bids just hire them. Great job! These guys did a great job on a new roof and gutters for one of my rental units. They did it quickly, efficiently, and looks like a beautiful roof. I went with this company, because there price was in the ball park of other companies, but they were the most professional and gave me options. They discussed with me venting and the best materials to reflect heat and let me decide what I wanted. I plan to use them in the future for the next property that needs a roof. I have six buildings on my property, and over the years I have had all the roofs replaced. I used Crandall Roofing for the last one, and they were by far the best company. Everything about them was great: the estimator fully understood what I wanted, a live person answered my calls every time, the job was done perfectly, there was no damage to the extensive landscaping next to the building, and there was no mess left behind. The work crew was particularly wonderful. I'd give the company 6 stars if I could!

Crandall roofing did an amazing job with our roof! Their customer service was so responsive and amendable. The best news is that their work was so good that our homeowners insurance was renewed! Tom, Jeffery, Arturo, Javier and the rest of the crew did their best to meet our needs.

We had Crandall Roofing come out and give us a bid for a new roof, and Dan Garibay gave us the bid and it was very reasonable for the price. The appointment to put on the roof was made. The crew got here on time, they did a great job, it only took them 2 days to finish, and they also changed our fascia boards which needed it. They put on new flashing material which I liked cause, I was able to paint the fascia boards without getting any paint on the flashing. They also painted all of the vent pipes on the roof to match the color of the roof. They also cleaned up after themselves.
