I purchased a 2004 LS1 Corvette engine to replace the one in my C5 Corvette, and I deeply regret that decision. After seeing the negative reviews, I should have trusted my instincts and walked away—but instead, I relied on the assurances of Jason Richards (sales rep), who claimed the engine was in excellent condition and had undergone rigorous quality and performance testing before being shipped.
That was far from the truth.
There was zero documentation or proof of any testing provided. Even worse, they refused to share the VIN of the donor vehicle, citing “privacy concerns.” A simple redacted report would have been enough to give me confidence in the engine’s history—but that transparency was never offered.
Initially, both Jason Richards and Jennifer Williams were very responsive. However, once payment was made, communication became nearly impossible. A month later, the engine was installed—and soon after, it began leaking oil from multiple points. Gaskets were replaced, repairs were made, but the issues never stopped. Months later, I’m still dealing with engine problems.
I’ve made several attempts to contact them, but they’ve completely ignored me. At this point, I’m preparing to take legal action.
Take my experience as a warning: do not purchase from this company. Save yourself the stress and financial loss. Buy from a reputable vendor or invest in a new crate engine—it’s worth every penny for the peace of mind. Avoid this company at all costs.

Overly disgusted by the lack of communication and customer service that I have NOT received from them. Totally unprofessional. Thank goodness my daughter has a mother like me. I will get in contact with someone and if I have get an attorney it's going to cost them!!!
Do yourself a favor and stay away from these crooks! I purchased an engine from them in May 2024 and at first I was quite impressed with how seamless the whole process went. I received my engine and had zero issues until December. Engine stopped working so I immediately contacted Jennifer Williams. She asked for the following on Dec 27-A diagnostic report to clarify what happened to the engine
The Installation RO (List of parts swapped during installation)
Images and videos of any damaged parts
Images of the heat tabs and stock number
I sent the requested information to her on 1/6. On 1/10 she informed me that they were working on the issue. I asked for another copy of my warranty and she refused to send it to me. I emailed her, Kevin Anderson, and Marvin Bennett on 1/16, 1/27, 1/30 and 1/31 asking for a resolution. I called and left messages in between those dates only to be ignored. As I write this, I’m waiting for a call back from my attorney.

At the time I was looking for a motor, I want to say about August or September time of 2024. I came across these guys and thought it was awesome because they were constantly working with me before I bought the motor and told how great it is and how awesome the condition is for there motors so I believed and said “let’s do it.” So I purchased the motor September 16th and was assisted by Jason Richard’s and Jennifer Williams. Bought the motor for $3450 with a turbo because my car has a turbo from the factory for about $200. First red flag was my motor arriving about October and my turbo was even more late. Now keep in mind , when both of those items arrived late; not once was said from them to give me a refund for the delivery fee. Now I get started on installing the motor with my mechanic and come to find out … the motor that was sold to me has rod knock. I have called Jennifer Williams on January 13th, 2025 and told her “hey you sold me a bad engine, I followed the warranty of take pictures of the heat tabs and etc. Come to find out that this woman tells me she doesn’t know what a heat tab is. Also I have a 2 year part warranty and so far I have tried EVERYDAY to get a hold of these guys. I took an L with these guys and that’s cool. I will be taking these guys to court and make sure Jennifer Williams gets revoked of her position. Here are some photos and screenshots of my story
KEEP AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!! THEY WILL KEEP IT AND SEND SEND YOU A NON-WORKING ENGINE. BEWARE!!!!! DO NOT SPEND A DIME WITH THEN!!!! They are a HUGE SCAM! Back in 2024 we purchased an engine for $4,230 . They took a long time to ship and when we got it, it was broken. We asked for a refund. Now , it is December 23rd and we still have not gotten our money back! They will Not let us speak to any manager and they keep saying they will refund the money but they still have not! It has been 3 months! Please save yourself and Keep away! Jennifer and Kevin Anderson are the ones who keep lying to us!
These people sell bad engines Dont buy from them. When you try and make a warranty claim they give you the run around. When asked for pictures for the claim one of those requests is for heat tabs. I took a clear picture of one and they turn around and say it's not a heat tab. I been a Master Tech for over 14 years. I wasn't born yesterday. Scammers!
Stay away from these guys! I purchased an engine for a 2018 Silverado along with the two year warranty back in October of 2024. The engine showed up from a third party vendor with no protection on it, just shrink wrapped onto a pallet. I dropped off the engine to the dealership to install. They put it in and the engine didn't work. Talking to the dealership, they explained that the engine would require massive amount of work to get it running, and there's no guarantee that it would work. I have had a lot of work done by this dealership and completely trust that they are on the up and up. They started working with Engine Xperts on filing a warranty claim. Engine Xperts were provided with all the information that they required then went silent. They send an email once every few weeks saying "they are working diligently on my claim" but in the men time I have been down a truck for almost three months. It's increasingly looking like that I'm going to have to pursue legal action to recover my $5,000.00.
Horrible experience. To make a long story short. I bought an engine from these people and the engine didn't even make it out of the mechanics shop. Gave me hell about the warranty and after I jump through hoops, they sent another engine. It lasted about a month and now they're giving me hell trying not to honor that 3 year warranty. I told them that I do not want another engine from you guys, just give me a full refund. I can't afford to keep paying mechanics to keep changing out engines. I'm a disabled veteran and I'm on a fixed income. More updates are coming soon. Let's hope they do the right thing. 11/21/24 Still nothing.
***update *** Please read this carefully. This is the biggest scam that I have ever been a victim of of..
Hello Ronald,
I hope this email finds you well, and I apologize for the delay in responding.
Please be informed that the first replacement was sent to you and delivered on July 5th, 2024. According to our policies, the replacement should have been installed within 30 days of receipt, and any issues should have been reported within the same timeframe. Since the issue was reported on October 30th, 2024, beyond the allowed period, the warranty has unfortunately been voided.
However, we went the extra mile by coordinating with the warranty department to see if we could assist further, but unfortunately, we were unable to obtain a resolution.
If you can provide the Installed RO (a list of parts swapped during installation), I can make another attempt to reach out to them, though I cannot guarantee a favorable outcome as the matter falls outside the warranty period.
For your reference, I’ve attached the warranty documents signed by you, the Proof of Delivery, and a screenshot of the relevant warranty details.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Best regards,.
This was the email that Jennifer sent me today. Basically they're saying, screw the 3 year warranty that I sign for.. I had that motor installed within the 30 days, it sounds as if they're saying that since the motor went bad after the 30 days then I must've installed it after the 30 days. Scam scam scam. I'm cool with not getting a refund now. It done got personal..

STAY AWAY !!! This place has stolen $4,230.38 from us. In October of 2024 we ordered a engine. They took their precious time to send it and when we got it, it was broken. So we requested a refund and they said yes they will give us a refund. It is now December 23, 2024 And we have still not received the refund. We have emails from them stating they would send us the refund within 5 to 7 business days from a month ago. We have called them everyday and they refused to give us a manager‘s number to call. They refuse to let us speak to a supervisor and they keep on giving us the runaround. So STAY AWAY from thos place
I strongly recommend staying away from this company 100% fraud, alot of excuses and I will skip all the details, but in the end they told me that the engine was lost in shipping, and I requested a refund which I haven't received so I talked to Jennifer and told her I would come pick up my refund and guess what. The address they have on their website is another business with that being said they're totally scam artists and I will be posting on every social media site I can to let people know. And the only reason I'm giving them a star it's the only way it'll let me post!!
Very satisfied my car is running great I felt that they were honest with me and they gave me great customer service keeping me informed and updated along the process I highly recommend them to anyone who may be looking to replace their engine.
I just wanted to take a minute to rate my recent experience at Engine Xperts. As you can see I gave it 5 stars. This was a very smooth process from beginning to end. Friendly and effective support department Amy is the one who helped me a lot. I've placed the order fast, with no unnecessary stuff or long procedures. I received my part on time, in good condition, and a good fit. couldn't have been better. Grateful!
I contacted for a quote on an engine to purchase. Within 30 minutes I had a quote from Jason Richards and was speaking with him on the phone. Mr. Richards was very knowledgeable and courteous. He assisted me with all aspects from the beginning and all throughout the process with grace, compassion and very respectful customer service. This business and it's employees are amazing throughout their entire transaction with you. I have and will continue to relay my great experience with them and Mr. Richards.
James Miller was very helpful with a dodge ram 3.6L I needed. Engine arrived on time and in excellent condition. Installed it the other day and so far it runs great. Im always a little skeptical with ordering from someplace Im unfamiliar with but they definitely held up to their reviews!
