I returned to school after nearly 20 years of working as a registered nurse to become certified and licensed as a family nurse practitioner in 2020. This graduate education allows me to have a more direct impact on patients. \n I particularly enjoy helping people with chronic health conditions improve their well-being through weight loss and management, which is something most of us have struggled with at some point in our lives. \n Originally from Illinois, I moved to North Carolina as a high school student. My husband, Dean, and I have two adult sons. Gage is in the Army and Chase works in cybersecurity. We have five Siberian huskies: Bandit, Raider, Bella, Remington and Skye. When not spending time with family and friends, I enjoy reading, bowling and working in my yard.
