Midway through my college career, I realized I didn't want to be a chemist. But my chemistry major proved useful when I decided that what I really wanted to do was take care of people. I didn't want to work in a lab; I wanted to work with - and help - people. Rather than go to grad school for chemistry, I applied to medical school. \n That's where I discovered a love for procedures. I enjoyed the physics of cardiology and the cardiovascular system, but I knew I wanted the procedural aspect, which led me to become a general and interventional cardiologist. \n In the quarter of a century I've been in practice, I have remained committed to using evidence-based medicine to treat my patients. I dedicate time and attention to each patient and their clinical situation. I also strive to treat each patient as if they're family.
