Doctor Gold has been one of the most kind and attentive doctors I've ever worked with. She's done so much for me and has been working with me for over two years on my medications. We're a great team! Every time I leave my appointment, I'm very happy and satisfied with my experience. I'm so happy to have her as my psychiatrist.

I’ve been working with Dr. Gold over a year now and she has been phenomenal! She’s so empathetic, professional and you can truly tell she cares about her patients. She is my first psychiatrist ever so I was extremely nervous to start, but she has always made me feel so supported and comfortable. I can tell she is truly invested in my well being, she has a lifetime patient out of me!

I went to Dr Gold for anxiety, and she made me feel safe and understood from the start. She really listens, takes time to explain things clearly, and never made me feel rushed. She’s calm and her caring approach helped me feel more at ease and gave me confidence in my treatment. I’m very grateful for her support and highly recommend her to anyone dealing with anxiety or other mental health concerns.

Do not work with Dr. Gold, find someone else.

I was prescribed adderall and was taking it as directed. Over time, I was building into the worst manic episode I've had in my life to the point of psychosis. This is how I found out I had untreated bipolar. When I brought this up to her that I figured out what was causing this, she congratulated herself on solving it. Seriously? I feel like a bipolar screening along with other illnesses should be ruled out before prescribing stimulants, not just anxiety. I explained to her I was experiencing a suicidal ideation caused by a psychotic delusion, and instead of being in the call ensuring I called a suicide hotline, she went nuclear and decided to call the police on me instead. I explained multiple times this was an ideation, not intent. She eventually backed down but because of this whole 2 year long process, I have lost complete trust in her and have decided to end my work with her.

She is 10 minutes late to every appointment, her front desk Jimmy is rude and will give conflicting incorrect information and fails to communicate with Gold for days at a time when things are urgent. Jimmy will misunderstand questions and treat you like you're an idiot, he's always in a bad mood. Gold will always be a week late on providing icd10 codes to fill medications. Gold does not have the best interest of her clients, does not follow guidelines, and will give conflicting opinions. There's so many things I could bring up here, she is not trustworthy and her whole practice is completely disorganized with constant miscommunication and technical difficulties.

Dr. Gold is the most negligent, least competent psychiatrist I have ever worked with in my life. She prescribed me medication that exacerbated my mental health conditions, then diminished me when I said the medication didn't help. I had a cold when this virtual session took place. Because of this cold (which I did not have when I first took the medication), she derided me for assuming I even knew what the medication did to me. I was then charged $150 for the session, in which she provided no service whatsoever. Obviously, I did not pay this, and even explicitly wrote them to tell them why. Now, I'm getting endlessly harassed by Jimmy at the front desk. I would have been happy to never hear from these people again, but since they just started demanding payment again after nearly two years, I decided to leave this review. As other reviews state, find anyone, any place else. Seriously, anywhere. I've had great psychiatrists, and I've had not so great psychiatrists, but I didn't even know you could be this terrible at psychiatry and still have a license to practice. Dr. Gold should have had her license revoked by now. Maybe if she gets a job bagging groceries or something, she'll actually be good at it.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. I told the receptionist, Jimmy, no less than five times that I needed therapy for myself—not for my brother, not for medication, not for a psych evaluation. I was clear from the beginning: I’m a caregiver, trying to support a severely mentally ill, non-compliant family member, and I needed guidance from a professional on how to handle that role emotionally and practically.

Jimmy completely failed to understand this basic request. He repeatedly misunderstood and acted like I was seeking help for my own psychiatric issues, despite my constant corrections. Including explicit texts stating my issue that were completely ignored. It was like talking to a brick wall. I asked him directly if this was something they could even help with, and instead of checking or clarifying, he pushed me into a psychiatric evaluation—and an appointment to get medication. something I never asked for.

They rescheduled me twice because they are disorganized, wasted nearly two months of my time, and then canceled everything with the excuse that they don’t even offer what I clearly asked for in the first place. They were more interested in booking a billable appointment than in actually listening.

Frankly, if a mental health provider hires someone this incapable of understanding a basic, clearly stated situation, how can I trust that provider with anything more serious? I left feeling unheard, dismissed, and completely disrespected. This was not just frustrating—it was demoralizing.

Dr. Nwokochah Gold at Careplus Psychiatric Services has been an incredible support in my mental health journey. From the moment I walked into the clinic, I felt welcomed and understood. Dr. Gold's compassionate and attentive approach made it easy for me to open up about my struggles. With their guidance, I've seen significant improvements in my well-being. I highly recommend Dr. Gold to anyone seeking professional and empathetic psychiatric care.

Dr. Gold is a very caring and good psychiatrist. I was skeptical at first to go here because of the reviews but she is a very nice psychiatrist. She is calm and made me feel heard. I 100% recommend her.

If you want to see someone who doesn’t care at all about actually helping you, then this place will be great. Otherwise, don’t waste your time or mental energy. The Dr is always late by at least 10 minutes and then rushes through the entire appointment. I don’t think I had a single appointment that lasted longer than 10-15 minutes. Even when I wanted to discuss my diagnosis I was interrupted and made to feel like a major inconvenience for even asking. She doesn’t at all take your needs or symptoms into account, she just wants to prescribe the best fitting medication as quickly as possible. It’s extremely disappointing, discouraging, and unethical the way she interacts and handles her patients who are already struggling in some capacity and coming to her for help. She doesn’t care if you’re at the end of your rope. She’ll prescribe you a medication, spend little time discussing your symptoms and struggles, interrupt you, then bill you or your insurance 275 dollars after a ten minute appointment. This place is damaging to vulnerable people who need genuine help.

I called Dr. Gold's office to inquire about talk therapy after being given the contacts through my health plan coordinator. Just based on the interaction with front desk, I do not plan to book with Dr. Gold.
There may be mitigating circumstances, so I'm waiting to speak with Dr Gold before moving forward with this review or other reporting resources. I look forward to revising this review.
