Juan and Alex did amazing job fixing our chimney today! They were on time , professional and super friendly. They explained everything clearly and made sure the work was done perfectly. We really appreciate their great service. Highly recommended them!!

GMT came out to provide a free inspection and estimate. They were very thorough in explaining the issues. We opted for one affordable solution. The technicians came out a few days later, were very efficient, knowledgeable, and respectful. I will use them again in the future when I have chimney repair or cleaning needs.

Fantastic! We called on a Tuesday and had Joe scheduled to come on Sunday afternoon. I got a text sharing when Joe would arrive in our time frame, and he was right on time. We have both wood burning and gas fireplaces, and Joe inspected both. He got our gas insert up and running in no time, despite us not knowing how to operate it. He took time to show us all of its functions, which was great. He also was very mindful to instruct us to ensure the flue was open when we intended to use it. The service all fell under the 'free inspection' which is incredible. Whenever we have any questions, we will be calling GMT!

Joe took a look at my chimney cap because we heard it moving around a bit when the winds were high and I suspected there was some water getting in. And if waters getting in, I’m sure there was only a matter of time before a critter or two would find a way in.

We’re all set now though, Joe made sure of that and even sent pictures…which I really appreciate because I have no business climbing up in the roof to take a look myself lol. I’d recommend GMT Chimney to anyone, I’ll def be reaching out again for any future services that my home needs.

GMT Chimney is the best. My wife and I bought our new house and it’s the first time we’ve ever had a wood burning stove. Just to be safe we wanted to get the chimney inspected and the flue cleaned. We contacted GMT and they came out and gave us a free estimate. They were fair and didn’t push any of the work they proposed. We went with all of their recommendations however and so glad that we did. They were able to come out the very next day after the estimate and completed a full deep cleaning, flashing, and repointing and we truly feel at ease now to burn. We will definitely be using them for our annual cleans from now on. Thanks Joe & Alex!

They did a wonderful job with my chimney repair. They pointed out very directly what the issues were and provided me all the information I needed to make an informed decision, AND provided solutions that were within my budget (I had a the chimney crown repaired, a new chimney cap installed, and new flashing installed)

There was initially mild miscommunication on arrival times, but they communicated very clearly afterwards via text and call and did a great service.

Fantastic last-minute and quick work. We had the dryer and air ducts in our multi-story townhouse cleaned. The man was professional, kind, informed, and pleasant. In a single day and during the same week as the call, the service was completed. He went to Home Depot and took the time to thoroughly explain how to take care of our house. The team came out to give me a second opinion after the first company tried to sell me with hard tactics and worst case scenarios. I was initially quoted for a $3600 stainless steel liner in our fireplace and chimney in order for us to use it. The team at GMT Chimney Services came out and did a free inspection and informed me that I simply needed a good cleaning and some waterproofing. They wanted to perform the work same day but I was unable because I had conflicting appointments. They drove all the way from Hartford the very next day and took care of the project quickly and efficiently. I'm from Hawaii and this is my first fireplace. They taught me how to safely use it, gave me a cleaning schedule and taught me how to put the fire out. I would recommend them for anyone in Connecticut. I'm not sure what they're range is but they drove 40 minutes to help us out not once but twice. I've found my chimney company for the foreseeable future. I 100% recommend GMT Chimney Services.
