The Wedding Salon Bridal Shows

Great experience for a future maide of honor! Learned a lot and was able to make some choices with my friends wedding. Kind staff and beautiful venue. Will be coming back again, and hopefully for my own wedding!

My wedding planner and owner of AmaBella Events. I wasn’t ready to make so many amazing connections, but I was pleasantly surprised found lots of new resources for my clients! So happy I had the opportunity to be here!

The event was unique and on a boat this time! Was able to figure out where I will dining with my guest after my civil wedding at city hall. The ambiance was great along side the fantastic food!

I attended the Wedding Salon Bridal Showcase on October 13, 2025, held at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, located at 101 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90401.

Venue:
The venue itself was beautiful. Every staff member from the Fairmont was pleasant and professional, which made the start of the experience enjoyable.

Vendors:
The vendors were great. There was a wide variety and I appreciated that they represented many different wedding needs and services. I truly enjoyed each one I interacted with.

Event Staff (Issue):
The real problem was with the event staff. I purchased a VIP ticket, which included a swag bag, tickets for two guests and a raffle ticket. When I checked in, none of this was mentioned — not the swag bag, not the raffle ticket. I had to ask about the sea bag shortly after checking in and I am o remembering the raffle ticket as I edit this review, nothing was mentioned at check-in.

When it was time for me to leave, I asked again at the check-in desk about the swag bag and was sent to a table in the back. Once there, I was told I needed to leave a 5-star review in order to receive it, which that should have been as this was a paid for item. As I sat waiting, I watched the same thing happen to every single guest, regardless of whether they had a general admission or VIP ticket.

After getting my bag, I went back to the front desk to clarify the situation. I was told there should have been a difference between VIP and general admission guests — but there was none. I was told that VIP tickets were supposed to be identified by a “V” on the guest wristbands, yet I did not receive any VIP indicator on my wristband. There was no apology, no correction and no accountability. I left feeling completely misled and swindled out of the extra $20 I paid for the so-called VIP experience. Every guest was given the same thing no matter what they paid. That $20 could have easily gone toward the $22 valet, which was not indicated on the website (I may have missed it, but I did not see it when I purchased my ticket).

Accessibility:
The event was also not ADA-friendly. I use a rollator and it was extremely difficult to get around. The aisles were narrow — if another guest in a wheelchair was coming the other way, one of us had to stop completely because we couldn’t pass. At check-in, I couldn’t fit in front of the registration desk and had to stand to the side and raise my voice to be heard. No one offered assistance or even thought to move the dividers to help me through. I kept running in to things due to the setup, not due to the venue itself.

Overall Experience:
While the vendors and location were beautiful, the disorganization, lack of accessibility and unethical VIP handling completely ruined the experience. It’s unacceptable to advertise something that isn’t delivered and then pressure guests for 5-star reviews in exchange for items they already paid for. I will not attend another event by this company and do not recommend it to anyone — especially brides or grooms looking for a professional and honest experience.

The atmosphere was lively but not overwhelming, with plenty of opportunities to connect directly with vendors and other attendees. I especially appreciated the live demos and fashion shows, which brought the latest wedding trends to life. The staff and organizers were professional, welcoming, and clearly passionate about creating a meaningful experience for everyone there.

It is such an incredible events. Connecting and have interesting ideas with all the vendors.

Very nice and well organized but on the smaller side. You can probably get through it in ~30 minutes. But the vendors there are good and there was free food and drinks to sample.

The event was at Trump Tower and featured a handful of Chicago vendors. The events Target was engaged couples, giving them a taste of some venue options and vendor options. There was a bridal fashion show and entertainment highlights. Overall a good fit for upcoming brides starting their journey looking for vendors.

Weddings are a scam and the money making of the whole industry is on clear display at this event.

I will say though that it was pretty cool that the event was held at the Downtown Association, which is a beautiful historic private club. I almost gave it one more star just for that.

Incredible! With gorgeous dresses, decor inspiration, and helpful vendors, it had everything a bride could need. The live runway show and workshops made planning feel exciting and easy. Highly recommended for anyone preparing for their big day!

A very lovely location for a bridal show! It was definitely a beautiful venue and one worth considering. I wish there were a few more vendors exhibiting, but it was a good array nonetheless.

It was so fun and such a great opportunity to learn about weddings. It was super helpful for us to meet vendors and to learn more about pricing and the amount of work that goes into wedding planning!

Very disappointing. It was nothing like as described in the email. There were not many categories of vendors. It was mainly just the catering vendors with a few wedding gowns. Hardly one hair dresser and no make up artists at all! Where as their email mentioned all different categories and also promised a “tie the knot tote bag” with “luxury” samples and products which we never received. Only bag we received was a bag full of useless wedding magazines that too only after leaving a fake google review and showing the proof. Only good thing was the drinks and cake tastings, not worth it.
