Mavericks Donuts were absolutely amazing! The donuts were fresh, delicious, and had a great variety of flavors to choose from. The customer service was top-notch super friendly, welcoming, and made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming here since they opened a few years ago and every time is a wonderful experience. I’ve never been a huge donut lover so when I say these donuts are goooood I’m not exaggerating. The fritters especially shine through but you can’t go wrong with any selection.

The owners as well are so lovely and it’s always a pleasure to stop by and chat with them. I’m genuinely happy that they’ve been thriving and they absolutely deserve the high ratings they have.

Definitely stop by this Parkdale gem if you’re in the neighborhood and craving something sweet. You won’t be disappointed!

My friends and i just visited this lovely donut shop. There donuts were deliciousss.. i tried the biscoff donuts.. and there are plenty of other wonderful choices. Last but not the least, owner are very friendly. Worth giving a try, won’t regret.

I had the delightful experience of stumbling upon Maverick's Donuts, and I can say that, it was a serendipitous treat! I popped in after 5 PM, expecting a sparse selection, but even with the late hour, the quality shone through. The pistachio donut immediately caught my eye, and thanks to Fab's enthusiastic recommendation, I decided to give it a whirl. And wow, I'm so glad I did!
The donut was incredibly soft, and the pistachio filling? Absolutely generous and utterly delicious. It was a perfect balance of sweet and nutty, and it completely satisfied my donut craving. It was clear that even at the end of the day, Maverick's prioritizes freshness and flavour.
That single pistachio donut was so good, it brought me back a week later! This time, I indulged in the eclair, tiramisu, and honey glazed flavours. Each one was a testament to Maverick's dedication to crafting exceptional donuts. The eclair was classic perfection, the honey glazed was wonderfully sweet and light, and the tiramisu was a creamy dream. If I could offer one tiny suggestion, it would be to perhaps boost the coffee flavour in the tiramisu just a touch for an even bolder experience.
Overall, Maverick's Donuts has earned a spot on my list of cravings. The friendly service, combined with their delicious and thoughtfully crafted donuts, makes it a must try spot.

So much gratitude for this local donut shop! They were able to provide over 100 donuts within 24hrs notice for a corporate event! The only complaint was that they delivered their amazing donuts in non-branded boxes. I had to take time to answer “where are these donuts from” from everyone who participated in the event! The donuts were fresh, beautiful and delicious! The flavours and quality were top notch! They were creative in the colour spectrum to match our brand while maintaining the flavour profile of the donut! Maverick’s was also able to provide a vegan option which was a welcome touch for participants!

Wow so delicious!!! I stopped by Mavericks donut company today the Parkdale location in Toronto on Queen St West and had the pleasure to meet the mastermind behind these amazing donuts. I have to say without a doubt that these are top notch donuts. Not too sweet and not greasy at all, just prefect!
I’m not a fan of cheesecake but let me tell you, the Lemon cheesecake doughnut is an absolute MUST TRY!!!!! You won’t be disappointed in these donuts and go first thing in the morning because they sell out fast. The drive from Brampton was well worth it and I’ll be back very soon so thank you for the amazing customer service.

By far the best donuts I’ve ever had!! The fritters are huge for the price. Their cream filling in the others was amazing too. Lemon cheesecake was our favourite. Apple&peach fritters after being warmed up were perfect.

Stopped by Maverick’s Donut Company near the end of the day to grab a quick peach fritter. The cashier was very friendly and even recommended it when I was eyeing it as I came in. It was a great choice!

My husband and i went to this place from waterloo. The owners are very very nice and the donuts are very good. They aren’t sweet but they aren’t bland either. It’s amazing how they achieve that

I just visited this lovely donut shop on Queen West for the second time this week. The donuts are incredible! I really can’t get enough of them. The fritters are amazing, the Boston Cream donuts are filled with the most delicious custard, and there are plenty of other wonderful choices. The owners are very friendly. Give this place a try, you won’t regret it :)

I’ve been a regular customer here since they opened, to the point where the owners (who are absolutely lovely people) knew my regular order when I came in. The cake donuts were some of the best I have ever had, the honey glazed in particular. Unfortunately, they’ve stopped making cake donuts altogether. The honey glazed and cinnamon sugar donuts have been replaced with yeast donut versions. I’ve tried them both now and they are not nearly as good as the old cake donuts. The cinnamon sugar donut I had today was oddly dense for a yeast donut and lacking in flavour. I was told by the employee working this morning that the change was due to customer demand, so I suppose my opinion is not very common, but I wanted to share in case other people were coming here specifically for the cake donuts.

No matter how far I am, I always have to stop by Maverick donuts and get myself half a dozen pack to take home. The atmosphere is always so good and the customer service is great!!

I tried this donut shop the first time today after walking by it many times and having many friends rave about it and it definitely deserves all of the 5 star reviews. I tried the peach fritter, maple walnut, lemon ricotta, and cherry glazed - all were unique, amazing, and delicious ! It’s a really cute mom, pop, and baby shop. If you want to decadently indulge your sweet tooth and support a family owned business you can’t do better than Mavericks !

I consider myself a donut connoisseur so when I tried Mavericks Donut I was pleasantly surprised. Keep in mind I came 30 min to closing so imagine if they were fresh. They were all good. By the time I realized I needed to take a photo of the donuts I ate more than half. I’ll definitely go back.

The cutest takeout counter with a seasonal selection of homemade donuts! I had the peach and apple fritters, they are huge, packed with little nooks and crannies of deliciousness. Highly recommend if you’re in Parkdale. Staff were lovely and friendly.

I decided to go with this company to make custom donuts for a baby shower July 27th. This was the worst decision I could have made! This baby shower was for a famous influencer and makeup artist and I made sure to let them know this. The donut quality was terrible!!! I have included pictures below. The day of, there was a guy who delivered them, but I did not know who the delivery guy was. I accepted the delivery which I now really regret. I did not know if the guy who was delivering was just a delivery driver or someone who worked for the company as I was very consumed the day of the event with set up and did not get a good look at the driver. It wasn’t until I took the donuts inside and got a good look at them that I saw how terrible they were. As you can see from the pictures below some donuts do not even have holes in many of the donuts have gaps and imperfections. The icing on top is not even laid on some of the donuts. Overall, this was a terrible experience and terrible quality donuts. When I messaged the company to let them know about it, their response was “we did our best” and “you are contacting us 24 hours after delivery.” I set up this big event by myself was extremely overwhelmed, so I did not get a chance to message them the day of the event. Half of the donuts were unusable and had to be thrown in the trash. However, I did message them the next day letting them know! They took no accountability nor have apologized for how awful these donuts look. I can understand if maybe you do not want to compensate me but at the VERY LEAST, take ownership for your work. As a business owner if you do not deliver a quality product it is your responsibility to take ownership for that! If you are throwing an event, please do not trust this company to make custom donuts for you!!! I will never order from them again. I have included pictures of the donuts as well as screenshots of the conversation. Again, I would stay away from this donut company!

Absolutely Amazing!

Picked up six donuts for the family to share and we enjoyed them all. Biscoff Bite was the consensus top pick with Strawberry Shortcake coming in second. We also tried Boston Cream, Coconut Banana Cream Pie, Lemonade, and Vanilla Sprinkles. Every donut was enjoyable!

The service was also great. Very friendly and helpful!

Highly recommended!

My review is only for the Peaches and Cream fritter as I cannot speak for the others.

I live in the area and have walked by the shop quite a few times. Their $2.95 sign shone brightly this weekend and so I thought I’d give it a try - not to mention the case filled with donuts! (Note: there are no prices clearly marked when you walk into the store. You would have to ask individually for each one, which is difficult if there is a line.)

For a premium donut place, I personally found the fritter to be a bit of a let down:
- too greasy
- had maybe 5 tiny peach bits in the entire donut
- no “cream” flavour or taste. I think the icing sugar drizzle on top was supposed to be the cream but it did not taste creamy at all.
- the density of the donut was airy and greasy and not what I was expecting. Would have preferred a thicker/denser dough.

At $5.95 (and only cash and debit for forms of payment), I found it to be a bit steep.

Perhaps it was just this particular weekend, but the price for quality is difficult to justify.

For a premium shop, it would be great to have: ingredients list by donut, clearer pricing on food and beverage, and a sign that only cash/debit are accepted.

The other donuts have lovely reviews, so you’ll have to test yourself.

There are a lot of donut shops out there. Many of them are large, light and loaded with fancy sugar confectionery. We thought Maverick has some nostalgia to their donuts. Many of the ones I got were the denser cake style donuts. The good ole day style. Its kinda like a sour cream donut but not. Tastes old fashion and brings me back to my younger years.
Some of the flavors were unique. The lemon ricotta had the gritty ricotta cheese on top and a light combination of flavor. The donuts are not dominated with flavor icing trying to dictate the flavor. I particularly like filled donuts. The boston cream was comforting. The Berliner willed with raspberry jam was lovely. And lastly, the apple and peach fritters were each superb.
Now for the shop. Quaint and as you walk in a blasting sight of all the lovely goodies are before you. No sit in, plainly to take away. The owner was very nice and pleasant. Never felt rushed and took his time to serve me. Proudly shared me pics of his new boy and felt he just fits in the neighborhood. Soon as I finished customers started dropping in. It got busy fast. What a gem.
