My main goal as a physician is to provide compassionate, affirming, whole-person primary care for all North Carolinians. I see medicine as a dialogue, using shared decision-making to combine my medical knowledge with each patient’s expertise over their own bodies and experiences. My clinical and research interests include LGBTQ+ health, gender-affirming care, HIV care, and trauma-informed care. I also have a background in health equity research and advocacy, and am committed to building a healthcare system wherein all patients have access to the resources they need to stay healthy. In my free time, you can find me birdwatching with my husband in North Carolina’s many forests, hanging out with our two cats, and tending to our too-large collection of house plants.
