Incredible location, exceptional furnishings and every detail thought of in advance.

For those who are visiting children at Michigan, Tech, this location is actually much more convenient than the Hilton downtown.

With a small butt full kitchen, we were even able to cook dinner twice for five hungry teenagers! Thank you to our hosts for their graciousness.

We had an incredible time at the Lodge! We stayed in the Kennedy Suite and it was perfect. Kitchenette was fully stocked with everything you would need to cook a full meal and serve it in style. Bed was very comfortable and made up with high quality bedding. Suite was extremely roomy with beautiful decor. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. We travel frequently and are pretty discerning, 10/10!

Had a wonderful stay at the Lodge Luxury Suites. Rooms are modern, clean, private, and quiet. Location is great with a beautiful view of the lift bridge, but it can be challenging to leave the Lodge and turn left to go into Hancock. Also, there are no guard rails in the parking lot or outdoor lounge area so be careful you don’t drive off the ledge or if you have children playing. We had an issue with the pull out bed but management was very responsive and went above and beyond to make it right! Highly recommended and we look forward to our next visit!

What a unique and wonderful stay! Who would have thought to turn a historic Elks Lodge into a high end vacation spot? The suites are finished to fine detail and the owners daughter and other staff are as friendly as can be. The only hard part is the summer traffic over the lift bridge is kind of loud, and makes it tough to pull out of driveway. Having said that, if you are looking for a true elegant stay in the Copper Country, stay at Luxury Lodge Suites

The Lodge Luxury Suites has nostalgic ambiance and has been beautifully refurbished; a welcoming common area with the old Elks bar and large fireplace, exercise equipment, and spacious sauna. The suites have everything you need for a luxury stay; comfortable king bed, kitchenette, work space, and cozy seating area. All guest spaces are immaculate and there are special touches to make you feel at home! Bonus is the location in downtown Hancock within walking distance of great restaurants and shops. Highly recommended!

Incredible hospitality, service & rooms. Sydney and her Dad, Steve, were beyond wonderful! They made our anniversary weekend extra special. We feel so very blessed to have met them and to have found this gem of a place to stay and even more, the kindness these two shared with us. We look so forward to coming back again and are grateful for this wonderful experience ❤️ the rooms are so comfy and beautifully remodeled. The bed is so nice too! We love memory foam beds and these are fabulous! We felt right at home. If we could give them 100 stars, we would.

OUTSTANDING!! The owners have created a very unique boutique hotel from a 1900s Elks lodge. Top notch fit and finishes. Full kitchens in each suite PLUS a huge central bar room available for all guests to use. Can't say enough good things about this place. Would definitely recommend for couples, families, or friend groups looking for a place to spend time together. Not to mention the natural beauty, activities and history of the area. We will definitely be back!

Everything about The LL is top notch... the beds are phenomenal.... the father - daughter owner team is on point! Such an awesome rune for special overnight getaways... Looking forward to visiting again

The Lodge was a convenient and comfortable place to stay. Great shower, comfy bed. I was worried the rooms may be chilly with a lack of carpeting but the suite was warm and cozy.

This is way overdue glowing review for The Lodge Luxury Suites. I should start off by stating that I am not easily impressed and as we all know, experiences with the service industry over the past five years (post COVID) have been unpredictable at best. I wanted to plan a winter get away for my wife’s birthday at the end of November ‘24, and since we both love the U.P. area and are always up for an adventure, we decided to check out the Keweenaw Peninsula area which we knew would be a gamble during the winter months. Well, this trip turned into an adventure all right, and thanks to the hospitality, flexibility, and wonderful communication with Sydney (Property Manager) at The Lodge Luxury Suites, it still turned out to be a wonderful trip. I should note that I initially had to cancel my reservation due to the passing of my father and not knowing when I would have to fly back down to Atlanta next. Even with some concerns regarding cancellation fees due to issues that seemed to be on Expedia’s side, Sydney made sure our trip was 100% reimbursed. When I learned that I could indeed make the trip work out, I rebooked the room and asked Sydney if she could help with arranging some items for my wife’s birthday such as wine and roses in our room for when we arrived. She was more than happy to do so and also upgraded our room to help us celebrate. Despite driving through treacherous weather to and from Minneapolis to the U.P. (That lake effect snow is something else!), we had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our time in our homey and very comfortable suite. The resort in itself is absolutely adorable (old world meets new world charm!) and the amenities are wonderful too (Sauna, Washer/Dryer, etc..). They have a beautiful bar/gathering area with a lovely fireplace as well. I can go on, but this is longer than most people want to read already. I HIGHLY recommend The Lodge Luxury Suites and a HUGE THANK YOU to Sydney for helping us make this s a special and unforgettable trip for the both of us.

Very well appointed rooms. I prefer boutique over major chain hotels for a more personal experience. Watching the GLI hockey tournament on large TV while nestled in a tufted couch next to the fireplace in the common area open for all guests to enjoy! This is a special place!

I could not leave a more glowing review! We used The Lodge Luxury Suites for our small wedding reception and had my family rent out all of the suites for the weekend. Everyone said how comfortable, beautifully decorated, and accommodating the suite rooms were. The event spaces (both upstairs and downstairs) were so nicely renovated/decorated. The property managers were SO helpful with our process. From our conversations before we even booked to the day of the wedding, they were so helpful and kind. Sydney was absolutely lovely to work with and help me (and all of my family) in planning. Highly recommend this space for everything from a weekend vacation to an event space.

We stayed at the Lodge for three nights while visiting the Keweenaw Peninsula. Everything about our experience was amazing: the deck overlooking the river and bridge where, the beautiful room, the comfortable bed, the extra snacks, the sauna, the accommodating hosts! The location was central to all we wanted to see and do. We highly recommend staying here - you will NOT be disappointed!

This was a top tier stay in the Houghton/Hancock area. I highly recommend this place especially if you’re coming with a large party - the commons area is the perfect gathering space with luxurious couches(very comfy) and other incredibly comfy furniture. The bar in the commons area also is fully stocked with everything I could’ve needed, snacks, water, + coffee !! When I did need something extra- the gas station next door was open 24 hours and I only had to walk 30 seconds across the street to get what I needed!!
The beds in the room are so comfortable and even had massage options which was so nice.
If you’d like to relax even extra during your stay, you should for sure utilize the sauna!

Overall you will not be disappointed with your stay here, I recommend it to everyone!!

This is such a wonderful place to stay! The location next to the bridge is wonderful and the staff is extremely friendly. The beds are very comfortable and even offer massage options. How luxurious is that! And bonus there is also a sauna which is a great touch. I would definitely recommend the lodge if you are looking for a luxurious experience here in the Copper Country!

The room itself was pretty nice but that's the end of the positives.

The property is next to a large bridge. I didn't enjoy the sound of semi trunks engine breaking all night long.

Additionally, Right next store is a gas station which is open late, and I didn't feel very comfortable with people outside my window.

Fees! A surprise $90property fee added on top of the $188 room charge.

At 915 am, which is before checkout time. I recieved a text demand for $200 from smoking. Internet I swear to god: No smoking was done in this room.

They tried and failed to charge my card and instead banned me from returning.

I wouldn't recommend staying here.

We were looking for a place to stay and most motels and hotels were full and just randomly happened upon The Lodge Luxury Suites. I cannot tell you how beautiful they are! Perfectly appointed one bedroom suites very nice quality of absolutely everything. The owner and his daughter are just amazing folks. It is located across the bridge from some very nice restaurants and bars that we were able to walk to, just an amazing place. Very happy that we bumped into The Lodge Luxury Suites. It made our stay so much more comfortable! If we ever happen to be in this part of the country again, we will absolutely stay at The Lodge Luxury Suites!!

We stayed at The Lodge for a week while our son was at a MTU summer youth program. It’s truly a beautiful boutique hotel experience. The design of the suite was very well thought out and we appreciated the luxury bed and bedding. We enjoyed the history of the building and being able to see the lift bridge in action from our window. We were especially fond of the common room with the U shaped bar that has been so carefully preserved. The co-owners were helpful and easy to talk to about The Lodge and local happenings. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year.

A night away and absolutely blown away.
The Lodge in Hancock competes with luxury hotel chains in our opinion.
We are relatively local and wanted a night away from home and what a place to do it.
The remodel of this old building was done with such care and attention to detail it allows the original character to shine through.
Truly a worthwhile stay.
Would highly recommend!
