Sit'N Pretty

I have brought one of my Cocker Spaniel's for grooming to Sit'N Pretty 1-809 Victoria Ave E, Thunder Bay, ON P7C 1B2 807-623-0522. After a day my husband and I noticed our dog having difficulty walking. He was shifting himself with his tail from side to side in a weird manner and dragging his bum on the snow. We examined our dog and we noticed red skin with scabbing in the back of his tail (it looked very painful). It was very obvious the injury was caused by the groomer cutting to close to the skin and burning his tail with hot clippers as we noticed scabbing in one area and a sore. I then realized poor boy was in pain and applied Zinc Oxide to relieve the burning feeling. I then immediately called the groomer asking... who groomed my dog? The lady answering the phone taken my message and told me someone will call me back as soon as they return back from their break. Shortly after a woman named Kim called me back. I explained our dog was hurt and that we weren't happy this happen to our boy. She then replied she didn't do it but she will see my dog to see his burnt tail. But, at the same time she said even though I will bring the dog for her to see him she will not do anything about it. I then told her then it would be a pointless. She then said that those things happen and for me to use some ointment or whatever and deal with it. I then started to get upset and asked her to give me my money back and to cover the vet bill if it comes to that. She then said I know people like you and she repeated the statement few times. I asked her... people like me? What do you mean by that? She said yes...people like you. I said to her that I will report for her for unkindness and unprofessional behavior. She then replied...do whatever you want and don't come back to my place of business and hung up the phone. Did she mean people like me because she hurt dogs before and they complained? My 20 year old son was sitting beside me listening to the whole conversation and encouraged me not to ignore this matter for the safety of other animals. I will be taking this matter to Better Business Bureau. I feel horrible for my dog and other dogs that may have been mistreated by this horrible woman without a sign of remorse. She should have at least apologized for hurting my dog but then on top she insulted me by judging me because I called her to tell her she hurt my dog. Please do not take your dog there for his/her safety.
