4th time for our dog. She looks amazing and is totally relaxed after. She is seven and until we started using the barking lot, she would be traumatized after her grooming. Highly recommend

The barking lot has been my go to place since I was 17 and dropping my mothers dog off. Diane is awesome and very accommodating for early morning appointments, and she does cats:) always trust my dogs in their care, more then 30 years in business for a reason, my Gertie loves her!

I just found your website and I read the comments on the Barking Lot. I've been bringing my dogs (and my mother's cat) to the Barking Lot for over 26 years. I agree with "Pen" and wonder about the veracity of the review by "Pathetic". I've NEVER had a bad experience at the Barking Lot. The owner, Diane has been around forever and I can't imagine that there's any other groomer in Thunder Bay with as much experience and talent as she has. I too have had to bring my dogs in early, they are always happy to go there and they come back clean, with clean smelling ears and even their claws are trimmed. I know you can't please all of the people all of the time, but I find it hard to believe that Pathetic had such a bad experience. Any dog who could be traumatized by a visit to the groomer has serious temperment and socialization problems, NOT related to this business. I just had to write because I think that review is totally off base. I will continue to go to the Barking Lot and I always reccommend it to my friends. Besides, Diane always makes me laugh, which gets my day off to a good start!

I just read the comment from "Pathetic" and think he/she must not have been to the same Barking Lot that I go to. I've been a customer for 11 years with 2 dogs and they've always come back well groomed and happy. In fact, they're happy when they go in the door and they smell so good when they're done. I don't see how a dog grooming could make Pathetics dog puke. It must be as neurotic as the owner. Ignore Pathetic and go see for yourself. The Barking Lot gives great service for a good price.

My dog went there and is now in trauma. He has not moved, he is shaking and is puking. I am very upset with this place and do not recommened it to ANYONE. My dog must have either been attacked or hit, and has not moved at all and wont even go outside to go to the washroom. I am never stepping foot at that place again, do not trust.

I've taken several dogs to the Barking Lot since they opened over 25 years ago. The owner, Dianne is always friendly and happy to see my dog. I like this place because they come in early if necessary (once I had to be there at 6:30am)and my dog always looks 100% better than when he goes in. He is happy and seems to enjoy his visit. The Barking Lot has been around forever with the same owner and I'm confident that my dog will get the love and attention he needs. The Barking Lot may not be as fancy as some of the local groomers but I know that my dog will get the best in grooming at a great price.
