Dental Partners of Brookline

By far the best dental office I’ve been to. I’ve been coming to this place for years, never had a bad experience and they only get better with each passing year. Everyone’s super welcoming and nice. The whole staffs very professional and efficient. Office is very modern and clean. Doctors Roy and Sullivan in particular, always do an excellent job. They have a great work ethic and are passionate about their patients. They do a quality job every time, very consistent, this also applies to all staff working there. They’re easy to talk to and make sure you’re comfortable throughout your appointment. You won’t even feel the pain from the needle they numb you with before surgery’s, because of the techniques they use. The dentists take their time cleaning your teeth so you get your moneys worth and give great oral hygiene advice. Even the assistants do a great job working alongside the doctors and dentists making sure I never choke on my own backwash. The receptionists are fun to talk to and are great at communicating with you if you have any questions, need rescheduling, or a breakdown of costs. Everyone there is super relatable and easy to talk to. Receptionists Samariah and Claudia are pretty hilarious, making coming into your appointment something to look forward to. Dental partners of Brookline checks all my boxes. They are a team of hardworking passionate individuals, who work together to ensure you have a pleasant experience and are happy with the product and results. I rate this well oiled machine a 20/10 would recommend.

I called to schedule an appointment for a cleaning at the beginning of July. Originally I had to move my appointment, so they changed it for me however every single week since they have called me to reschedule stating "my hygienist is out". They always call either 2 days before, the day before, or the day of my appointment to ask me to reschedule. This has happened 4 times in a row now. I haven't even been able to see anybody for the entire month because they reschedule every single time I am supposed to come in. I'm not sure how whoever I am scheduled with is always out that day and how that is not checked weeks before hand. I get last minute call offs but 4 times in a row is a lot. I will NOT be going here. Admin is clearly unorganized and has zero clue what is going on. They also called me and said I left a message that I never left, which I'm assuming they got me mixed up with somebody else. The whole experience was ridiculous for a dentist. Go somewhere else for your dental needs, clearly they do not care or prioritize care.

I had an excellent experience at Brookline Dental Partners. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly, and the dental assistant was highly professional. Dr. Blissett was outstanding; he explained the results of the tests and X-rays clearly and discussed how my issues could be addressed.

Unfortunately, I’ve had several negative experiences with this office that have led me to seek dental care elsewhere. Communication has been consistently disorganized and careless, I was promised follow-up calls that never happened, and I had to submit my secondary insurance information three separate times before it was finally added to my account. There were repeated delays and a lack of transparency in filing insurance claims, along with frequent overcharges and scheduling errors that led to unfair late fees, wasted trips, and unnecessary time off work.

I was also repeatedly given inaccurate or contradictory information. What I was told over the phone or in person often didn’t match up later, creating constant confusion and frustration.

On one occasion, I was hit with a surprise $500 charge upon arrival and told I needed to pay before treatment could begin, despite being told at the end of my previous visit that my balance was paid in full. These charges were never communicated in advance and weren’t reflected in my original treatment quotes, making it impossible to plan financially and resulting in out-of-pocket expenses that should have been completely avoidable, and would have changed my decision-making had I been truthfully informed about the actual costs.

I understand that quotes are estimates and that insurance can be complicated, but not following up or communicating with the patient when the final bill ends up being more than double the estimate shows a serious lack of effort and accountability.

In another instance, I was nearly charged twice for the same procedure. Fortunately, I recognized the amount and asked them to double-check it, only to find out it had already been paid during my last visit. I can’t imagine the additional hassle it would have taken to get that money reimbursed if I hadn’t caught it myself.

One of the most distressing experiences involved a poorly fitted crown cap that left me unable to fully close my mouth for over 16 hours. I had to spend $60 on an early-morning Uber to make it to the office as soon as they opened — just so I could eat again and still make it to work on time. During another visit, they struggled to take X-rays, which left the roof of my mouth torn up and exposed me to repeated radiation. The hygienists even joked about how it might affect their own fertility which was wildly disturbing to hear mid-treatment especially as a young woman.

Even now, five months after switching dentists, I’m still dealing with financial issues caused by their billing and insurance mishandling.

This place is a mess. They genuinely do not care about their patients or the quality of their service, save yourself the stress and go LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!!

My experience was incredibly.
Everyone made me feel very at ease. Dr Blissett was absolutely wonderful. He knows how much it means for me to smile at my grandson’s wedding with only a few days to accomplish this . Coming to Dental Partners of Brookline was the best thing I did for myself. I would recommend Dr Blissett to everyone I know.

Leah has been my hygienist for quite some time
She is personable efficient and skilled in what she does. I also had an opportunity to meet Dr Roy for the first time she was also very friendly and upbeat.

As a senior, dental health is extremely important. I value and trust Dental Partners of Brookline to maintain and use advanced technology to ensure my teeth are healthy. Often, it feels like a family as I have gotten to know everyone from the competent receptionist to the doctors themselves who have always treated me as an important patient!

I just wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for Dr. Manar Roy, including the hygienist she works with. They are truly excellent! Their bedside manner is exceptional, and they always take the time to explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand.

Beyond their expertise, they create such a comfortable and reassuring environment, making every visit a positive experience. I’m grateful for their dedication and care!

I had a routine cleaning with Celeste, followed by a check up with Dr Roy , the dentist. They are always very friendly and very professional at the same time. They are very patient while taking time to explain procedures and outcomes before, during and after my appointment.
I am most impressed that all disciplines are in this office. I come to one office and anything can be done. The most up to date equipment and procedures are used. This IS the painless dentist.

The practice is always first class. Dr. Ryan Blissett is the best dentist I have ever worked with and I have had a few, to say the least. Professional and accessible with honest explanations when needed. Would recommend him and the practice to anyone seeking high quality dental care.

Avoid at all cost! Lack of cost transparency and unprofessional staff. They tell you they will submit the claim to your insurance but you are required to pay upfront for out of network. It has been 9+ months and counting and I still have not received my money back. They are unhelpful when you call them to resolve, despite the claims being denied because they either fail to include a tooth number or improperly put the providers TIN id.

I had a disappointing experience at Dental Partners of Brookline. Before my visit, I called to inquire about the cost of a filling, but the representative wouldn’t provide a price, only stating that the dentist would assess my tooth first. I was also told that there’s typically no charge if no work is done.

During my appointment, Dr. Roy spent less than two minutes examining my tooth and immediately told me I needed both a filling and a crown, quoting me $4,000. When I asked if I could do just the filling and wait on the crown, they insisted both had to be done together—conveniently, the doctor was available to do it right away. I was surprised they didn’t have any other patients waiting, which made me even more skeptical.

I understand that they took X-rays, and I expected a charge for that. However, Dr. Roy never showed me my X-rays or discussed them with me in the treatment room, which I found unprofessional. When I checked out, I asked to see my X-ray, and instead of displaying it properly, the receptionist just handed me a printed picture of my tooth on a piece of paper, which felt careless and unprofessional.

On top of that, when I checked in, they pushed me to get a cleaning first, making it feel like an upsell rather than genuine patient care. The final straw was the unexpected $235 charge just for the brief exam, which was never disclosed beforehand. Had I been informed, I wouldn’t have proceeded.

When I raised my concerns, the receptionist admitted that the call center wasn’t properly trained but still made me pay. A business that fails to provide transparent pricing, pressures patients into expensive procedures, and then shifts the blame to internal miscommunication is not one I can trust.

I won’t be returning. Take my $235—I’ll be spending my $4,000 at a dental clinic that values honesty and transparency.

Leah has been cleaning my teeth for a number of years, and has been helpful in suggesting ways to be more effective in removing deposits on my teeth and maintaining healthy gums. Her cheerful demeanor makes teeth cleaning a delight.

Dr. Boustani and his assistant are very helpful and very supportive with the process of my jaw bone which have been very difficult to deal with…

I met Dr. Sullivan instead of Dr. Boustani. I have a great discussion with her and will plan all the details next week after she will study my case.

Dr. Ryan Blissett is the best. He is so professional and friendly.He listens to all your concerns and make the best recommendations. I love my smile since Dr. Blissett has improved my teeth!!

I had my teeth cleaned by Ceres recently and I want to praise her. She was very thorough and actually pointed out some issues that no other hygienist had ever mentioned. I knew that I was in very good hands. She mentioned that as a kid she was fascinated with teeth and that led her to become a dental hygienist. Thanks Dental Partners of Brookline for having such great staff members.

This is an outstanding team that justifiably inspires confidence, combined with a thoughtful, pleasant, attentive staff Over the past 40 years I have been through many procedures with them and I could not be more pleased.

I began going to this practice after popping an implant while eating a gummy bear, that was ten years ago!

While everyone has been professional, caring, and pleasant, I’m mostly grateful to Dr. Boustani, Dr. Blissett and Leah Kurisko. I’ve always felt they listened to me, offered recommendations with most current procedures and have always received superb care.

I don’t know what will I do if they ever leave Dental Partners. It’s not easy to find quality care. It will be like losing a family member. I can wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend this practice. Thank you all!

Better going elsewhere. Dr. Boustani is an amazing periodontist who is detailed and attentive. However, I agree with the other reviewers who had a poor experience. The front of the house staff needs a lot of revamping. They don’t tell you in advance that your insurance is out of network until you show up, demands payment and pretends that is easy to get reimbursed. It has been over 8 months and counting and I still have not got my money back after numerous outreaches to them. They always have an excuse and repeatedly keeps resubmitting the information wrong, even even I got my insurance to get on the phone with them. The front staff are unresponsive and acts like everything is an inconvenience to them. Their business practices feels very unethical!!

This place is horrible! I have been coming for years and it was alright at first, then it got worse. They always call to reschedule after you make an appointment. One time I made an appointment in February 2024. They rescheduled my cleaning, so I agreed and went in at the new appointment. I ONLY ASKED FOR A CLEANING, they then proceeded to send in a doctor anyway for an exam. When I got to the counter they informed me the doctor they sent in (that I did not request) was out of network and that I had to pay $700 for my visit. I would never have chosen to see an out of network doctor. $700 to tell me why teeth are fine…

Dr Blissett and Dr Boustani both were incredibly generous with their time and professionalism. They listened and were able to provide me a number of options for my condition. I am looking forward to having them take care of all my needs in the future.
