Animal Haven Grooming

Never would I have supported this business had I known that the owner treats people in a condescending, belittling, humiliating and rude way. Run a mile.

We have a Lagotto Romanolo...He has a difficult coat to groom and no one is quite sure what grooming should look like. Michele researched and spent the time to make him show ready. We got best of breed for both days of the show. We're happy customers that will return. Michele is dedicated to doing the best and that some times takes time, so be patient.

Animal Haven is the best groomer in the lower mainland. She has found a growth in on of my dogs ear, she clearly and calmly informed me and asked me to discuss with my vet... she did not alarm me... My vet took a look and was so impressed by her findings... he felt that he would have missed it... turned out to be nothing... but it could have been something serious.

The grooming is always top notch and the service always pleasant. They always let me know when my dog is ready for pick up and my little guys....love it there ... it is a spa day for them.

Animal Haven is also clean and fresh... always. Never smells like wet dogs. Many places I have been turn me and my dogs off at the door. But not here. Highly recommend them, and the pricing is definitely the most reasonable that I have ever found.

This grooming salon has been in business for many, many years, and has achieved international status as a top-notch grooming salon. I have been taking dogs there since 1990, and they have been incredible in terms of grooming and giving good care of my precious pets. Their rates are reasonable, and they take personal care of all the dogs. If someone is not happy, it's because they haven't been considerate or diligent in getting their pets groomed on a regular basis.

This is the one and only place I would choose to take my dogs. Whether I am there for a quick groom or a full-on show 'make-over', I trust the staff with my four-legged family members. The owner not only has an expansive knowledge base under her belt, she thoroughly cares about the animals. My dogs enjoy going there; are happy and excited when we arrive and happy and excited when we leave. And that's what's most important. My dogs are happy. And they always look fantastic!!! Customer service is terrible at surrey location. Took my standard poodle for grooming. $72. Left voice mail that dog was matted. They completely shaved him down, head,ears. Can't tell he's a poodle. They are a vindictive bunch. If dog is not perfect coming in they penalize you by what they do to your dog. Dogs professional trainer saw dog the day before grooming and dayafter and was in disbelief. Trainer said they wouldn't even know it was our dog. Stay away from this terrible dog groomer.

I brought my two labs for grooming at this salon and was treated very well. The staff were competent and knowledgeable and did a fabulous job of grooming my pets.

I've brought my dog to Animal Haven a few times. They always do a great job and seem to be a good resource if you have any questions about your pet. My dog had a "hot-spot" and they cleaned it up, explained to me what it was, and told me how to take care of it.

Overall, a very good experience.

I had the pleasure of attending this grooming school recently. The pride shown in the groom, the care and knowledge of the animals was second to none. I enjoyed making friends with both the staff and the customers beloved pets.

I will use this experience to offer grooming in our boarding kennel, and know Animal Haven will be there with support if I ever require it.

We bring our 3 dogs here because our vet recommended Animal Haven. All three dogs look fabulous and race into the salon for their spa day! Helpful, caring staff that took the time to explain each dogs coat needs and they even found a lump on one of the dogs before I did.

This business owner does not belong in the industry of pet grooming. They lack customer service and prefer to rest their confidence on their self imposed "school of dog grooming". You can find a better experience elsewhere where as a customer you will not be dealt with condescendingly as if you are a mere ignorant pet owner.

BOTTOM LINE: Look elsewhere!

Stay away from this shop! The owner does not know the meaning of Customer Service! She talks down to customers and complains if the dog doesn't arrive perfectly clean/combed (isn't that why we are bringing the dog to HER???). She arbitrarily raises prices, without warning, and charges FAR too much. There are many COURTEOUS, service-oriented groomers in the Surrey/Langley area; Animal Haven's owner is NOT one of them!
