Carolark, Kanata Reviews (2)
FIVE out of FIVE stars: I am tardy on writing this review. I took two sets of classes with my rescue dog (Clarke) and thoroughly enjoyed the training. He learned alot and progressed well because we practiced between classes.
I found the trainer, Sandy, knowledgeable, helpful and approachable. She was very good with all the dogs and found something to like in each dog.

On a positive note, the staff and trainers are well educated and professional.
HOWEVER
The things we learned in class were simple and could have been learned off the internet. I didn't like the "clicker" training because at home, you don't ALWAYS have a clicker in your hand. Also, I hated how treats are used at rewards because then the dog isn't behaving, it is always working for the edible reward.
I am now looking for a school to target his original problems (Housetraining, agression, stealing, and biting) which have worsened since the training with CarolArk and it's going to cost me twice as much to train him now. If those are the problems you have with your dog, do NOT go to carolark. You're wasting your time and I unfortunately had to learn that the hard way. My dog knows how to sit and lie down...but he also knows how to ruin your carpets and snap at you.
Thanks for reading and I hope this is helpful in your decision for a training school.
