We were so pleased with the care our mother received. We chose this company because they were family owned, rather than corporate, and the difference was night and day! Previously, we had used corporate companies.
Unfortunately, the day before Lifestar started with Mother, she sustained a fall (while with the hospice aide), Mother's care changed dramatically and unexpectedly on the day before the caregiver started! Everything they were prepared for was changed over night!
How people respond when life throws a curveball tells a lot about their character. Matt personally checked on the caregiver to assess her level of comfort with the completely changed environment and the caregiver, although unfamiliar with the new set of needs and care, jumped right in to help. Matt also made sure that I had regular contact, "taking my temperature" as we all made adjustments.
I couldn't have done it without Mother's caregiver being such a great team player and a kind and gentle presence in the home. I know she was outside of her comfort zone, but she never flinched from helping, and was confident enough to communicate what she was not prepared to do. A true professional. My mother truly needed a team with a moral, ethical, and work-ethic compass that pointed due north, and that is what she got.

I applied two weeks and I called a few times to check on my background, all I get is still working on it she seems so rude about it.. please don’t waste your time and doing the cpr and tb test like I did …

For the past year I have utilized Lifestar Home Care for assistance with my mother and father. I met with Matt and is wife Mariela who own and manage the business. They were the kindest soles I've come across in home care. We used another agency prior to Lifestar and though they were good we had a lot of inconsistency with our caregivers. Since we have been with Lifestar we have had a very consistent home care team. Tiffany has been our "lead" caregiver and is basically part of our family. As conditions have continued to change with my parents, Matt, Mariela, and their team have been right there to adjust the care needs. I live out of state and despite visiting often I do have to travel and at times do not get a chance to see my parents for a few weeks. The communication they provide has been outstanding and I never miss a beat. I get updates on any potential issues coming regarding change of condition and if there is a great accomplishment or moment for celebration their team keeps me in the loop. I could not think of using any other Home Care Agency to provide service for my parents. I am so grateful and thankful!

We had previously had a very bad experience with a 'brand-name home based companion care in OKC, for care of my mother/father in laws. (Items were stolen!) This time, we researched and interviewed with extreme caution and not a blind-eye for care for my mother in law, when she was determined to stay home after a big fall.
Matt and his team fit perfectly into what we needed. He was very caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable- taking into account: what we needed, Bernice's personality and her likes/dislikes and knowing his team of workers. He set up a great schedule, but was flexible (probably to a fault with her desires).
The team of workers were dependable to meet her needs and also gave her the privacy that she desired. They prepared her meals, kept her on track with her meds, and did light housework. They were able to drive her to appointments, and be our eyes and ears when needed. Sometimes, they would split the trip- by driving her to the appointment, but then letting us take her from there.

Matt Rogers and his team at Lifestar were amazing! I called and they were able to get me help with my great grandfather the same night! They were very understanding and helpful in the process! Lifestar Home Care is an incredible Home Health Care provider in the area. They have taken care of my parents for a few months and the care is off the charts. The company goes above and beyond to make sure Mom and Dad are comfortable. Matt and his team are great and very accommodating.
