Petland, Saskatoon Reviews (10)
The only pet store I have gone to and actually had 1) customer service and 2) customer service where the employee actually knew something!
I have never been disappointed by the staff here and they actually gave me advice instead of telling me to "Google it"
Keep it up guys n' gals!

I would just like to express my concern for the lack of proper lighting outside of Petland. Last night I went to petland and fell going up the stairs to their door, I sprained my rist trying to stop the fall. This would not have happened had their been proper lighting on those stairs.
I Went to this location service very poor. The blonde girl would rather chat up some guy than serve customers. When the blonde girl was asked to serve a customer she shrugged it off and went back to chatting up that guy. CLEARLY SHE NEEDS TO BE WORKING UNDER A LAMP POST AND NOT IN A PLACE CARING FOR ANIMALS.
They get their puppies from puppy mills! please do not support this!! I once when in there to find a child poking the rodents and 'harassing' them. No employees in sight. Very disappointed and unforchantly will never go there again
We bought our puppy from Petland in Port Coquitlam, B.C. last fall.
During the past summer we noticed that his foreleg had developed a tremor in it. We brought it to the attention of the store, they referred us onto the Petland regional HQ in Calgary.
They were very helpful, and advised us to have him examined at a local veterinary orthapaedic specialist.
We were reimbursed for the cost of the examination, and it was determined that an operation for his leg-length discrepancy would give him the best chance for success.
We were given the choice of Petland reimbursing us 1/2 the cost of doing the surgery here in B.C. or them covering 100% of the surgery if we were to have it done in Calgary. We opted for our dog to go to Calgary. The store covered the cost of his flights, the dog carrier that was necessary for transport, his operation, his foster family for 10 days during recovery, and another examination by a vet after his recovery period.
We have been very pleased with their follow-through on all of the aspects of this procedure, and they were completely professional, caring and thorough all the way through.
We would not hesitate getting another pet from Petland.

Who are u related to there.
Please don't support Petland with their sale of Puppy Mill puppies. The more puppies bought from Petland the more the mothers of these puppies are tortured. I don't know if this is the case in Canada but this company has a bad name in the states. Please don't support them. There is a lot better places to find pets for a lot more reasonable price anyway. Shelters, private breeders and rescues.
Twice now we have purchased pets from petland and twice now the have left us feeling cheated. We paid extra money both times for extended warranty and yet both times our pets, both with conditions straight from the store, had no warranty coverage when we used it. When we asked about it in store they were nothing but rude to us and we felt threatened by the managers and when we contacted petland head office we were just given the cold shoulder.
Since I have moved to saskatoon I have always shopped at Petland in confed. It is the only petland on the westside. I have visited the newer petland stores but have not had the great experiences i have had at confed petland. The staff are WONDERFUL and very knowledgeble. My dog loves going there and the staff pamper him everytime he walks in the door. He has a history of abuse and is very skittish around most people however he has absolute trust in the petland staff he has encountered!!! Please dont close confed petland. ;( ;(
I have shopped at Petland and would continue to but they keep changing prices it seems every day. I use to buy dog food from there and went in last week only to find it is now worth $85 for a large bag. I will take my business to another store were I can get the same food way cheaper. And when you ask staff how come the prices are so high they shake their heads and say contact head office. It's like the staff has no choice and I feel sorry for them. Until they lower the prices I advise people to fo to Early's Farm and Garden instead of these high priced box stores
We live in the close vicinity of Petland in Saskatoon. I have found a (few) of the staff to be quite rude. To even as the cashier if they carried a particular item she snapped and made a face. This has not been the first time either. I would rather drive all the way across the city to be treated as a customer should be treated than to give my business to Petland. However, if I do need to make a quick run to Petland and need help I will seek a male employee as they seem to be more willing to help.
In no way am I saying not to shop at Petland but my preference in customer service is not at this store. I have shopped at Petsmart and Petcetera and have never had a complaint as far as staff.
