Phenomenal tour. Came through as promised. Emily is very personable and knowledgeable!! She has many years of research experience and is a delight to talk with. Capt Rob is a great boat pilot. Stops when you want and located the dolphins and other wildlife!! They should charge more!!

We had the most amazing experience with Salty Pelican Boat Tours! Emily and Rob are truly special people who put their heart and soul into what they do. Emily led the tour with so much passion and kindness, while Rob made sure everything ran smoothly and kept things fun and relaxed. They played great music, created such a friendly atmosphere, and made sure we never felt rushed.

What made the tour even more meaningful was learning about Emily’s love for animals, she rescues birds and reports dolphins in need of help. On top of that, Emily and Rob generously give free tours to families of children undergoing treatment at the children’s hospital, kids facing serious challenges and long recoveries. That touched my heart deeply.

Emily and Rob are absolute angels. They aren’t just running a dolphin tour, they’re spreading kindness, joy, and hope in their community. I feel blessed to have met them, and I truly hope their business continues to flourish, they deserve all the success in the world.

Captain Brian and Captain Emily (spelling) were AWESOME. If you're into educational nature tours and/or unsolicited (fantastic) dad jokes, this is the dolphin tour for you. Calm, chill, a great value and ultimately a great small business to support. Parking at this marina is free, so you don't have to worry about adding an extra $25-50 to your excursion last minute with these guys. Great for visitors and locals, definitely check them out! (I will try to add any dolphin shots at a later date...enjoy our perfect sunset)

This was the best experience ever! The captain and the Owner were absolutely amazing! We saw lots of dolphins and the best sunset I have ever seen and I live in Florida!!! Im so happy I picked Salty Pelican especially because they are a small family owned business and we need to help our small businesses!!! You will not be disappointed most friendly educated people!

We did the dolphin and sunset tour the other day and I have to say it was most enjoyable. The boat had plenty of room with forward facing benches with backs as well as benches lining the sides of the front of the boat I did not use it but we were told there was a bathroom onboard. Emily and the captain worked well together to explain the wildlife and the various bridges and buildings we were seeing. Emily went around to each group of guests engaging them in conversation and taking their pics with their own cameras which I thought was very kind. The tour is 2 hrs ending with viewing the gorgeous sun setting over the Gulf. There is plenty of free parking at the marina where you meet the boat. This is an excellent value for the cost excursion.

I recently had the pleasure of going on a dolphin tour, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! As someone who isn't typically a fan of boating, I was pleasantly surprised by how safe and comfortable I felt throughout the entire experience. The boat was spacious, allowing everyone to enjoy the views without feeling crowded at all. The other dolphin tour boat we saw looked a little overcrowded and was loud.

Our tour guide, Emily, truly made the trip unforgettable. Her extensive knowledge about the area, the local birds, and the dolphins was impressive. She was passionate about sharing interesting facts and stories, which made the tour even more engaging.

We were fortunate enough to see lots of dolphins swimming and playing, which was a highlight of the day! I also appreciated Emily's commitment to caring for the land and its wildlife. It was clear she genuinely cares about preserving the natural beauty around us and protecting the animals we encountered.

This was by far the absolute best dolphin and sunset cruise I’ve ever been on. Capt. Rob and Emily were super knowledgeable and fun! They answered all of our questions and even t offered my kids a blanket on the ride back to the dock. It was very kind. We saw so many dolphins and just loved the tour. We will be back!

I can’t say enough great things about these guys! Captain Rob and First Mate Emily are first class act! I have gone out on 5 excursions, so far. My friends and family can’t stop talking about it! Thank you to Salty Pelican for a very special evening on the Bay. This company generously invited our family on the sunset cruise while we were staying at Ronald McDonald house due to our son’s serious illness. It was so healing to be out on the water, feeling so loved and cared for as we watched the sun go down over the water. The playful dolphins made our faces hurt from so much smiling. The tour guide and captain were so warm and accommodating. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

The Salty Pelican dolphin and sunset tour was amazing! Captain Rob and Emily were amazing! It is a smaller sized tour, so it feels more personalized and you get a much better experience! They are so knowledgeable about the area, their water experience and expertise, and Emily’s wildlife knowledge on all species is an added bonus to learn more about Florida’s wildlife. I cannot say enough about how nice and helpful Captain Rob and Captain Emily were the entire time. We will definitely be back again soon to see them and the beautiful sights!

The views were amazing and we saw dolphins, babies and parents, and a snook the adults caught. We saw many birds, including a pink spoonbill, on an island where they were starting to roost. The sunset was beautiful of course, as it always is, but this was special, shared with friends and family. Our captain Emily was knowledgeable and answered lots of questions. We chose the best date and saw the space shuttle launch. Highly recommended.

What an incredible sunset cruise. My parents, wife and two year old son went out with Captain Rob and Emily. What a friendly, knowledgeable team who shared some incredible wildlife (many dolphins) and sightseeing adventures throughout the bay and gulf. Couldn't ask more a better evening!

This was the first ever dolphin tour I have experienced and it will be one to never forget! Captain Rob and his tour guide Captain Emily are such wonderful human beings, and duo. I learned so much about the natural habitat here in my home town- Clam Bayou and the Boca Ciega Bay where we ventured out- seeing the beautiful dolphins right away! We experienced so many play around the boat and surf in the boats wake. There were about 3 male that dove in front of a huge Sternwheeler to be pushed forward diving in a graceful unison, it was unbelievable to watch!!

It was all I could do to laugh joyfully the entire trip, being out on the water under the glistening sun and blue waters is like receiving healing massages and embraces from mother nature, much needed and so rejuvenating! Highly highly recommend this tour company, run so smoothly by two amazing humans.

Emily is a wildlife and marine biology encyclopedia of information and passion. You can feel it just being around her. And there was the Captain who navigated the waters and busy intersections with such ease and grace, keeping a respectful distance from the creatures while also getting close enough to watch them sparkle.

Come support this and other wonderful, passionate businesses here in Gulfport. Many are open and back after the previous hurricanes destroyed so much of our harbour's, land and waters.

Did a tour with family visiting from up north and we saw so many dolphins! Staff was knowledge and shared lots of facts and info on animals and the landscape. Took my 2 and 5 year old and they had a great time. Felt safe, a great way to be on a boat, plus there was a bathroom on board.

Terrific tour and very affordable. Chances are you’ll see dolphins, but you’ll also learn how they feed, play and adapt to their surroundings. Highly recommend it. We did the sunset tour, which was fantastic.

Absolutely incredible experience for my husband and my anniversary! The tour guides and captain were so friendly, played great music, and we saw A TON of dolphins that were crazy close! Definitely will do this tour again with our three littles!

WOW. Still so hard to articulate the AMAZING experience I had today on the Salty Pelican sunset/dolphin tour. Rob and Emily did such a wonderful job with the tour. My 10 year old daughter and I had an amazing experience on this dolphin viewing boat tour! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. They shared interesting facts about dolphins and the local marine life, which made the experience even more enjoyable. They made sure every family, group of friends, and even single riders got a beautiful picture in the sunset.

After watching the sunset we were lucky enough to see plenty of dolphins up close, and they even swam alongside the boat! The crew knew just where to go to give us the best possible views. The boat itself was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the sights. They eased my child’s anxiety by explaining safety and the unlikely possibility of anything happening … Emily is a beautiful soul and we just loved how knowledgeable her and the captain are about everything you see on your tour.
