Animalerie Aristocrate, Saint-Laurent Reviews (4)
The smaller animals such as mice, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs and rabbits are kept in cages that are often too small for number of animals put in there. Also, those cages are open topped. This allows anyone to touch and manipulate the animals without supervision which sometimes could be very nerve racking for a young animal (they must be manipulated with care and properly). It also allows objects that should not be in cages to be placed there.
Every time I walk by this pet store, I notice that the water bowls are unclean (filled with pieces of food & paper (which they use to line the bottom of the cages)). The cages are usually unclean (filled with urine and fecal matter).
The low prices at which they sell their animals suggest that the animals are from pet mills and that they are not treated with the high standards of care.
They best pet shop I've seen is Nature, but when buying a pet, I will always recommend going to a breeder.
