Doogans Pet Ctr

Doogans told my husband if he places 4 orders of guinea pig pellets that they would give him a discount. He was told that they would be able to supply us ongoing with this agreement. First time no problem. It took several weeks for them to place the 2nd order and then when they finally had the 4 bags in stock we went in and they charged not only full price, but more then the other pet stores charge. He reminded them of the agreement and the only thing they could say was, " oh! "

I got a bunny a lil over a week ago... i was soo happy and she was perfect... even though there was a a tiny scratch on her nose.. when i got homme and actually started to spend time with her i noticed a welt in the sode of her face she was obviously in a scrap with another rabbit or the guinea pig she was rooming with in the store but it was gross and infected. After spending 150$ total for her the setup i had to spend another 20.. now 2 days ago my bunny is barley breathing and her eyes are watery with discharge. Take her to the vet to find out its going to be anywhere from $130-$150 to fix her as she has an upper respiratory tract infection. I am not impressed as their little knowlegde towards exotic animals and fish (as fish are mostly what i got from here) and after this whole bunny situation I will never be going there again. All they car about is their paychecks at the end of the day .. nothing else for their consumer.

Went into the Doogans pet store in the Kozlov centre to see if they carried leashes for parrots. We have several large birds and they like to chew them so we go through quite a few in a year. They range in price from 35-50 dollars. I was looking for a couple of them. When I went in the store, I was the only customer. There were 2 associates who were busy talking to each other. I started to look around and figured they would see me and come help. Eventually one did and when I asked her about leashes she said they didnt carry them but could order them. I followed her to the cash to place the order. She mentioned she didnt know how much they were but it didnt really matter as I needed them and I like to support the smaller businesses. Well when we got to the cash the phone rang. She answered it and wandered off into the back to find something for the customer on the phone. I guess my business wasnt that important to them and that they can afford to have people leave the store just before they were about to spend money in hand. I hope the call was important but no worries I ordered 12 leashes from your competitor across the street for a grand total of $525.

I have had nothing but good experiences while purchasing puppies from Doogans. My female dog is now 7 and the male is now three, and both are healthy, and very active. THe staff at the time were both patient and kind, ready to help, and definitely took time to listen to and respond to concerns we had with both. I will definitely go back.

I was in the store for one minute, mentioned a dog had an odd fold in its ear to another customer, and was verbally accosted by a guy in his pyjamas. He told me the dog wasn't pure bred, I asked why the cage said he was. Then, to avoid confrontation, i squatted down to look at the dogs and he got down in my face, glaring at me like i wrecked his "sale" NOTE: they were just browsing, waiting on their taxes. To avoid me cleaning the place with his body, I decided to leave and was yelled at as I left to" come back when I know something. I'm not sure if he was an employee or dating the girl behind the counter. Total time in store: 3 mins. I've studied dogs, mostly the molossor breeds as a hobby for over 15 yrs. I know bulldogs, I have one...betchya he can't pronounce brachycephalic. Now there's a review...BAN PET STORES THAT SELL PETS.
