We have used Rondivills kennels for years now and have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending the staff and the facility. Our 2 dogs go here and love it when we drop them off, and they go in happily with tails wagging, unlike the tails down procedure when they get to the vets. door.
We chose Rondivills because of the fact that it is a clean and well managed facility where they offer several levels of care for the dogs and the place is heated. I will admit that they eat like crazy when they get home but I don't think it is because they are starved. Perhaps it is because they have exercised a lot and need more calorie intake ! The staff is always happy when we arrive and again I have no hesitation in recommending their facilities.

After 12 years of being one of their best customers Rondivills has lost our confidence. Our beautiful Golden Retriever was returned in distressed condition, matted fur covered in urine and feces, stinking to high heaven. Staff accepted no responsibility. The manager did not even apologize.

Took my dog there 3 times. First day, did not ask me for any information about the dog, gave them proof of vaccination even though the lady at the front didn't ask, didn't even ask what my name was, just asked for a phone #. Seemed very hurried even though I was the only one there. Dog didn't seem very tired at end of the day, actually seemed more hyped up than usual.

Second visit, still didn't ask what my name was, dog still didn't seem very tired.

Third visit, went out to the play area to pick him up but he wasn't there. When I asked the guy said he thought he was in a kennel. I asked why he would be there and was told not really sure but they may have put him there to feed him and go back up to the front to get him. I went back to the front and told the girl that apparently my dog was in a kennel. I then said I didn't realize you were feeding him because he might possibly have food allergies and was on a special diet. She said they didn't feed the dogs unless the owner brought the food. I told her the guy at the back said he was being fed. To which she replied, o well maybe we got him mixed up with another dog... but didn't seem all too concerned. She didn't know any reason why he would be in a kennel because he got along well with all the other dogs. I asked how long he'd been in the kennel and she said she saw him only about 1/2 hr ago in the play area. When she brought him out, the first thing he did was pee on the carpet. This is a dog that can hold his pee for a looong time so that made me think that he'd been in there for a lot longer. Again, was told she wasn't sure why he was in the kennel, did not offer to find out, even though they possibly fed him some other dog's food. Just shrugged her shoulders. Tells me they really couldn't care less. Dog threw up when he got home, and seemed anxious.

Took him to another daycare last week. He came home and was so tired he could barely eat his dinner.

The facilities are fairly new and spacious. My very first experience using this daycare was seriously NOT good. Word of advice to those who are thinking of using them as a daycare service -- the staff are more concerned with leaving on time then about you or your dog!

I live in Rmd but work downtown Vancouver. I fought through traffic (really bad day for traffic) and bad drivers, drove like mad to make it there by 6 pm only to arrive no more than 2 min after, 6:02 PM. As I drove in, I saw 2 young ladies walking to their cars. One of them told me repeatedly and rather abruptly that they were closed. I tried to explain about the traffic but she would not hear of it and proceeded to tell me with attitude that they close EXACTLY at 6 pm. She admitted that she had keys but she just stood there and will NOT let me get my dog. She said she would get fired if she went back in after they have closed. She said I had to speak with the owner. So, I asked to speak with the owner but she would not give me a number saying that they do not give out personal info.

Long and short of it all, I finally left with my dog after the "Attitude Lady" finally got on the phone and called the owner. So much time wasted, aggravation and attitude PLUS for what purpose ??!!!

If this is in fact Rondivills' policy to leave exactly at 6:00 pm then they should tell the dog owners UPFRONT. If it is indeed Rondivills' policy that staff are not allowed to reopen the doors after they are closed, think they should rethink that through...

Fellow Dog Owners, with such "attitude" from Rondivills staff (who needs it after a long day??) what kind of attention do you think your dog will get during the day??? To top it all off, their daycare hours of operations (8 am - 6 pm) really do NOT cater to dog owners of the working class either!

Suggest you look around for a daycare that "cares" about you and your dog. Good luck!

rondivills is a very large and clean kennel, my dog always seems so happy to be going there. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. I reccomend this kennel and would take my dog here again.
