We have had excellent experience with this kennel. Our dog can be very timid but he loves this kennel and us always well taken care of.
We had used another kennel and he was terrified to go there. We picked him up and his foot was badly swollen. They tried to tell us he was difficult which is so untrue.
The fact that he loves the people at Aldergrove kennels is all we need to know he is well taken care of. He normally shys away from all strangers.

I was very apprehensive about leaving my 10-month-old Bull Terrier puppy at a kennel. We had a dog-sitter the last time we went away and when we arrived home, Bullseye was wild. It's like she had forgotten all her training and even basic doggie manners in the time we were away. It took awhile to get her back on track.
This time, we decided to try a kennel.
We found Algergrove Kennels, went for a visit. We needed a place where dogs get one-on-one attention as Bullseye was in season. We also liked the idea of her getting training so we would not come home to a wild beast again!

The kennels are very clean, the staff very knowledgeable and I felt confident Bullseye would be very well taken care of.(in spite of those previous posts I read). I trusted my instincts! We signed up for the 1 week training and boarding.

She was shiny clean and even well manicured when we picked her up, walks beautifully on leash now, listens well to commands and we saw that she obviously developped a positive relationship with the staff there.
We would not hesitate to board her at Aldergrove again and are probably going to return for more lessons as we hope to have a Canine Good Neighbour in the future!

Before I took my dog here for training I read the above review. It did little to help me with my decision. I was not interested in the payment process but wanted to know if there were any success stories. Well I now have one to share. I put my beloved Golden Retriever in for a 3 week training course. He was 8 months old when I adopted him and he had many bad habits. After trying for 8 months to retrain him I was frustrated. I took him in to Aldergrove kennels for a consultation. After watching Ron with him for an hour I was convinced. After he was in for a week I went for my training session. I was amazed at how much he had learned in one week! Ron was very patient with me in my attempts to learn what I needed, to continue his training at home. I watched carefully how my dog reacted to Ron and his staff and I was happy to see he was so obviously treated well. He had his head on Ron's lap while he was talking to me! That made me feel great. After 2 more weeks and 2 more training sessions for me (again I can't say enough how patient Ron was with me) I was able to take my boy home. What a difference! As long as I continue to follow through with MY training I see many happy years ahead. Training with love and praise is how it's done and it works! One final thing...my dog smelled wonderful when I picked him up! He was beautifully groomed and I could find not a single mat on him! Thank-you Ron and Carol :)

Thanks for leaving a review - I've been researching obedience schools and Ron seems great, knowledgeable and professional. I feel a bit nervous about leaving my dog overnight for 1-3 weeks and your feedback certainly alleviates my anxiety. Was there a big difference in your dog between 1 week versus 3 weeks of training?

HORRIBLE PLACE.
I've never been so poorly treated in my entire life.
Bob is very nice, but the owner is a total asshole who had me in tears over a credit card (WHEN I WAS WILLING TO PAY IN CASH)
Wanted me to put a $250 deposit down, AND pay totally up front before I even went away. Don't use these people.
On top of all that, I booked my dog in a great kennel and the lady told me that she has a lot of Aldergrove's past clients because the dogs all came back dirty and matted. Don't use these people.
