Just wanted to say thanks for looking after our little family of Three Dogs. Our dogs look so happy when we pick them up every time, Thank you for bathing & grooming our little guys. They look forward to come back. Thanks to the professional staff at the Pet Resort, you always look after us. I I highly recommend the Pet Resort to anyone who needs their pets looked after; a 5-star facility.

Based on the recommendation of a neighbour, being new to Calgary, we sent our happy pup to them. First time, he came back emmaciated! Initially thought it was due to "new environment ", completely understandable given it was soon after we arrived, BUT...After, we trusted them and sent him back. Fools. He developed Kennel Cough and then pneumonia! Not only is this insult to injury, we have a $2000 vet bill, not to mention the damage to our beloved friend. Now, I know that there's fine line, but seems like this joint is WAY over that line. Don't do it, even when DESPARATE! Otherwise this is what you'll hear...sorry, but this poor guy!

I take my dog there for day care and grooming. Tony does the best job grooming him. He is gentle and proud of his work. Tony is very professional with his manner and Bailey seems to enjoy his cuts!! He always does it the way I ask.
Bailey loves going there for day care and always comes home exhausted!
I will continue going there and getting Tony to groom him!!

They are great to work with and are very reasonable. I had once that I dropped my pet off for a couple hours and they just waived the fee.

We have been using Country Club for about 10 years. Our dogs are always so excited to go there, the whining and tail wagging starts as soon as we turn off 22X. The staff are very friendly and always very busy during peak season. I would highly recommend booking a year in advance for Christmas and six months ahead for summer. Our dogs come home happy and tired and we have never had a bad experience.

I don't like to give poor reviews, I thought this place looked wonderful but when we did a tour before dropping off our dog we were very disappointed. The hours of supervision are absolutely ridiculous. The staff is only on site 8am to 4:30pm. Aside from the 7 1/2 hours that staff is present, the dogs are in their kennel and they won't leave their doggy doors to the run outside open overnight. During the 7 1/2 hours staff are there, they kennel them half hour prior to and after eating meals which both meals are crammed into that time period and if they don't eat, they take it away. My biggest concern is that we were assured that they had very fun and exhausting days for the dogs (which was how they justified leaving them 15 1/2 hours every night) that the dogs were so tired they would sleep all night. We were there at 2 pm on a Sunday afternoon and there were 2 small dogs outside playing out of about 50 dogs we saw in our limited tour. It's horrible that these dogs are kennelled that long and the workers were walking in front of the kennels cleaning and giving tours while these dogs on a beautiful day were AGAIN in their kennel. Completely unacceptable to me. I hope this review garners attention from their owner so they change their hours and policy. If there are built in outdoor runs, can't you staff someone in the evening to let them all out so they don't have to relieve themselves in a tiny kennel? Sadly the impression I got leaving there was that it was very much a financially motivated business and not a place that really caters to the needs of your pet. Very disappointed in that.

I took my pup to the country club pet resort for the first time (an active 8yr hound and bully mix) I was looking at the FB page for Calgary dogs and it seemed like it was recommended by many owners.
The grounds of the facility are very large and well maintained. They have the ability to house and care for hundreds of dogs.
The pricing is quite reasonable for Calgary.
I did a dry run drive over to the facility to make sure I knew where to go so I would not get lost when dropping my dog off and become late for my flight. It is just south east of the city on the 22x and is easy to find with signage. It is very Close for anyone in Cranston, Mckenzie towne, New Brighton ect...
They were very nice and offered me a tour even though I never called ahead of time and just showed up.
It is a kennel format and is loud during the day inside the facility. Keep in mind many dogs will bark at strangers doing tours so it may not be as loud when just the handlers are present.
Your dog does get to go out in large runs for a certain amount of time everyday (15-45 min at a time is what I was told) possibly multiple times a day depending on energy level. The kennel space was clean and has outdoors access to a gravel or concrete pad when the partition door is open so they can do their business when in the kennel space. The newer kennel building also has heated floors in it.
The dogs also will get time in a large off leash area/park (only one dog in the park at a time with one handler).
If your dog gets the opportunity to socialize it is only two dogs together in a large run at a time.
I did provide a jacket for him as he is very short hair and it did not seem to have been used. My only concern about it not being used is when he was in the large outdoor run. I am not sure how long he was left out for at a time (it is winter) and even though he was there for 10 days he was never allowed to interact with any other dogs so he would not have been overly active to keep warm while out in the large run for the 15-45 min.
I did make it clear he is social and a big player and has been boarded in large open dog facilities numerous times in the past and has been great. But I feel that they may be hesitant to let certain breeds interact with other dogs because of breed perception (just my feeling from the lady at the front desk, this may not reflect the handling practices). I was told he didn't get to socialize because it was his first visit but 10 day seems long time to have a dog and not let him socialize.
The handler who returned him seemed very nice and genuinely seemed to care about my dog and said she personally cuddled and played with him and listed some personality traits that proved he was played with and got lots of exercise. Overall he seems happy, is exhausted and shows no signs of stress from being kenneled. I am sure he had a good time and he came back in one piece with no ailments
I will most likely try them again in the future. Preferably in the summer so my dog can use the swimming facility they have available. There were things I liked along with a few things I question so I have not fully made up my mind on how I feel about the facility. So far my thoughts are it is not a bad place they do prioritize your pets safety but I am not sure it is the best place for my dog at this point.
I have used Bow Dog in the past and loved them because they have behaviourists on staff and allow group play and give you a report card on how your dog behaves not just what they got to do, but their pricing structure has changed and it costs quite a bit to board for longer durations of time.

We've been taking dogs here for six years. They come home tired and it usually takes them a couple of days to bounce back. I've been on a tour, very clean, lots of room, each kennel has an outdoor run, no messes anywhere.

Our two Rotties get so excited when we turn onto the driveway and can't wait to get out of the truck. The staff are always happy to see them and sad to see them leave. We can go on a vacation knowing that they're very well taken care of.

I have recommended to friends and they have nothing but great things to say about the facility and the staff. We'll done.

I have three Australian Shepards and each time I go on a long vacation, there is no other place I would leave my pets. They are well looked after; when I pick them up they are happy to see me but I know by their excitement they have had a good time. Thank you ladies for you continued care. Look forward to coming back ( as are they ).

We have taken our dogs here many times, they always come home happy, tired and
clean.
Before we first took them there we went for a tour and the staff was happy to show us
around, it looked very clean, and all the dogs seemed content.
Now every time we go, we turn down that gravel road and they get so excited, and they can hardly wait to get inside to visit with the VERY CARING staff!!!!! No other place for my pups!!!

We (married couple) and my family growing up took our dogs there for boarding. We were always happy, and they even took our dog Koko when she was very old and not long for this world. Caring staff, and clean kennels.

They do care, and although we don't have dogs to take there any longer, we remember the staff's caring ways.

I have taken my dog here only twice in the past 9 years. The first time, they took my dog away without telling me that I could go back there with him to see where he was staying. That was a little suspicious. When I picked him up, he looked really dopey, like they gave him something to calm him down. I wasn't very happy with that. They also told me that when they put his food down, if he didn't eat it within the specified timeframe, then they took the food away and discarded it. As you can imagine, my dog was much thinner after a week of being there.
I took him there recently out of desperation as my regular kennel had closed, and when I picked him up a week later, they told me that he ran out of food the day prior. How irresponsible is that? Why wouldn't you ration the food if you see that it running low? Why would you throw out perfectly good food (dry kibble) when you know that you are running low?
That will be the last time that I will take my dog there.

I have brought my dog here on two seperate occasions. The first time he came back and had to go straight to the vet because he was severely dehydrated and the vet told me he could have died. This last time when I brought him back I had told them to watch his water intake and when i came to pick him up A.) he was covered in dog poop. B.) His balls had frostbite and C.) I had to take him to the vet AGAIN because he was sick and coughing. He has had his kennel cough shots already and the vet had told me it was a different strain. I always found it fishy that they just take your dog away from you right away and don't let you go back to see where he's going. I will NEVER be taking my dog here again. It's so far out of town only to come back and have to take him to the vet each time. Not impressed and I will be telling everyone I know never to take their dog here. I have paid over $500 in vet bills after taking my dog to this resort and the only thing they can say is "oops, we don't know how this happened". You don't even notice when the dog is sick?? They are supposed to be watching over your animal. they should know if it is sick or not. They will not compensate me for the vet bills and were actually quite rude on the phone with me while I'm explaining that I'm a student and this is a lot of money spent due to their neglect.

We phone to see if they could board our cat for 6 weeks. They said they could & we arranged to visit to view.

Some very nice cat enclosures & some not so nice.

We requested one of the nicer units but we were told that we could not have one of those for that long a time which we thought was bizarre.

Staff didn't seem to care whether or not we went there or not.

Very disappointing.
