Portage Learning

I took a chemistry course (CHM 095) I needed as a pre-requisite through Portage Learning. The self-paced, online learning model made it very convenient to work around my schedule, and it was very affordable. I am highly satisfied with my experience.

Taking a course through Portage was the best thing I could've done for my future education. The coursework was relatively accessible and my professor was able to use real life situations to help solidify my understanding of the course. I will be using Portage Learning in the future for any additional courses I may need.

I found out last minute I had to retake a nutrition class for get 3 credits and I signed up and got the material the very next day. I was able to work on it @ my own pace and finish when I needed to. My instructor worked with me at getting my grades grading promptly and communicated with me very efficiently.

I had such a great experience taking BIOD 210 Genetics. This was my first time using an online, self-paced model. At first I thought it would be "easier" but I actually found it more challenging in a good way without deadlines. I also loved the module based structure. I felt the content was both educational and relatable. I overall really enjoyed this course. My professor was also very timely and professional with responses and grading assignments/exams.

The course information is well organized and presented in an easy to follow manner. The self-paced learning was a benefit to me and I recommend it to anyone managing work, family, and school at the same time. The courses are challenging, but not overwhelming and the faculty are very attentive. I found the price to be very reasonable.

Portage Learning offers high-quality learning at an affordable cost, flexible with tricky work/life schedules. I was so impressed with my professors and with the rigorous assignments well-designed to promote learning. This program is an excellent option for students who need to complete prerequisite courses or fit in extra courses in a less traditional way, for whatever reason.

Had a great experience overall with Portage learning. I used them for 3 nursing school pre-requisites. Teachers were very responsive and stuck to the grading within 3 days promise. Many times they graded within 1-2 days of submission. The only issues that I had were my own personal issues for procrastinating, and trying to overcome distractions from taking care of toddlers. I would highly recommend this for people with young children because I was able to work at night while they were asleep. That way I could actually get things done. Overall my experience was great and I would use them again if I had to.

Geneva College's Portage learning system is incredible. Great and experienced professors present the courses, and the materials are rich and well-arranged. I first took Essential Anatomy and Physiology I and II and was surprised by what I learned. I am now taking Essential Microbiology and General Psychology.
I encourage anyone to please consider Portage Learning. If you are considering a wealth of Knowledge, especially in the healthcare system, consider taking your prerequisites with them. You will never regret the knowledge gained.

Statistics was difficult for me. This course and the variety of methods of approach supported my learning style. It was appropriately challenging without any surprises. The immediate feedback online and the prompt feedback from my professor Dr. Zamboni were crucial to my understanding. I would highly recommend this course and institution.

I took graduate level stats and it was a very positive experience. Layout and expectations were clear from the start. Modules were thorough and all lectures and assignments were helpful to my overall understanding of the material. The instructor gave quick and helpful feedback, and clarified questions quickly over messages.
Make sure you know when course completion and transcript request deadlines are for transcripts to make it to your school of choice on time.

Portage Learning allowed me to take a prerequisite for my nursing program, which was statistics. Although a math class is taken better in-person, generally speaking, I had a good experience and was able to finish with a high A in this class. It took hard work, but it was worth it!

If you are looking for a great Chemistry 103 or Chemistry 104 course (both with lab) these are perfect. Portage Learning's online self-paced delivery model's flexibility is great for busy schedules. Each module of the course is presented in both video and written format and there are plenty of practice problems. The labs were very interesting and they really tied in that module's material. The professors were all consistently very kind, helpful, positive, and available. Assignments and exams were graded timely allowing me to manage my time effectively. This has been a wonderful experience for me!

Portage Learning is a legitimate online program of Geneva College in Pennsylvania and was a fantastic option for prerequisites recommended by my program of intent. Many nursing schools and PA schools accept Portage credits but you do need to check with your program in advance.

I had a great experience with Portage! My exams and assignments were all graded promptly and any message to my professor was answered within a day and they were all very friendly and encouraging. Highly recommended and the quality of the courses was excellent!

This online university is very affordable. The best part, I received a great quality course and awesome support from my professor for the little I had to pay. If I need any other courses in the future I will definitely be returning to Portage.

I had a wonderful learning expierence. Introduction to Statistics was my first online course. The semester modules are clearly organized and well written. The best online platform for taking prerequisite courses in my opinion. Super easy to navigate, great communication with my professors, much more affordable than going in-person, and I genuinely felt confident and prepared going through the modules on my own.

The Introductory to Ethics course I took was amazing. The course is filled with interesting content that really made you think. The online self paced model is perfect for anyone with a busy schedule. Assignments/tests were graded timely and my professor was very prompt in answering messages sent with helpful answers and he provided meaningful feedback to all assignments completed.

Great overall experience. Some of the product needs to be updated and refined. I ran into some confusion with redundant concepts, and fragmented sentence structure and grammar in some sections and also exam questions are not clear sometimes. Overall my best experiences were with my online Professor (E.M.) she was so supportive and knowledgable. The pros, learn at your own pace, and the exams test well overall.
