Rediker Software Inc

As a customer, Rediker is a nightmare to deal with. Overworked Support agents who are expected to be experts about the software despite that not being their job; incompetent, outsourced developers that broke some of the software irreparably, with no fix possible; slow or nonexistent solutions for critical problems.

I count 8 positive reviews on here from employees, some of whom were forced out by the CEO. Consider the true rating for Rediker much lower than what it currently is.

Shrinking customer base every year. No likelihood of a turnaround.

From what I can tell, it’s a toxic work environment and morale is mostly low. There don’t appear to be any procedures in place for workplace conflict.

Their Human Resources person left over 3 years ago. No replacement. IT manager quit 2 years ago. No replacement. All of this can be seen on their website.

Overall, Rediker is a trap, both as an employee and customer. Software is incredibly slow and outdated. Some employees in Support with college degrees were being paid under $18/hr, which I found troubling given the demands of the role.

I’ve heard accusations of ableism and an inability to deal with neurodivergent employees, and I have no reason to disbelieve it.

In my opinion, this company’s trajectory looks bleak and I cannot in good conscience recommend them.

My school uses Rediker "Plus Portal". It's the dumbest UI I've ever seen. It seems like it's from the 90s internet. Among other things, new tabs open unnecessarily, and if it times out, it just leads you to a blank, black screen that inexplicably, infuriatingly says, "pretty print" in tiny letters in the upper, left corner. When one adds an assignment to the gradebook, it just randomly sandwiches it between other assignments. Not chronologically. Not alphabetically. Love how you can only see 5% of the assignment title too.

A standout among local small - to medium-sized businesses.

They had workforce diversity WAY before it was the politically correct thing to do...something I've always appreciated.

This is a great Western Mass technology company. Local company with a global footprint, serving K-12 schools across the U.S. and around the world for four decades!

Great software!

This software was designed for administrators in charge of discipline and who keep track of infractions committed by students. Like their website says, Rediker Software: by educators, for educators. This software was not designed to be a useful aid for students or their parents and guardians.
