Hawaiian South Shore

I found this shop scouring the Internet to find a board that I really wanted to buy. Never bought a board online and had no idea what to expect with shipping it to me in California
Sean and CHYYKA absolutely took care of me. The follow up text messages and phone calls were amazing as they handled all the details of sending me the board and handling the pick up. They even sent me a short video of them packing up my board in the shop to be shipped.
Genuinely nice people and excellent customer service. Man, did I get lucky finding these folks!

I’ve been shopping here for the last 2 years. The staff is super knowledgeable about surfing gear, which is my interest, and very professional. It also has nice selections of clothing brands, but they have the biggest selection of surfing gear and surfboards on the South Shore. If you’re from out of town, it is a must-visit store.

Great customer service. I ordered a pair of trunks which were delivered quickly and didn't like the look or feel. Inquired about sending them back for another type and their response was quick and professional. New pair arrived and zero issues. Mahalo for the great service. Came to Hawaiian South Shore to rent a longboard after my plan to bring my own to a Waikiki surf trip was foiled by the airline. This shop is awesome! Everyone is super nice, very professional, and they have great gear. This is not a classic tourist trap surf shop with second rate boards. My board was sexy and helped me catch a ton of waves. The shop staff was helpful and gave us some local tips in places to go with the swell that was coming in that week. 100% recommend this shop if you are thinking about it.

I always buy from Hawaiian South Shore. They always have the most modern and top-of-the-line boards and they stand behind what they sell. My most recent purchase was the Boss Up and the board is total magic. But so was the HI4, the Dominator 2, and the other boards I've pulled from their racks. Epic surf shop. My friend got the Diamond Drive on order last year - same great service.

Every time I come to town I rent a board from Hawaiian SS and their rental program is awesome. David runs a great shop and Sean was super helpful in dialing me in with everything I needed for the week. Only shop I go to in town and would recommend to anyone!

Amazing service. I found an Outerknown shirt that was sold out everywhere at their online shop. I purchased it online in the am. My amazing wife surprised me with the HI Moe Mini for my bday!! HSS was one of the only surf shops that carried the Thunderbolt boards early for the mainland US. We received personal communication about the board coming into the shop, packing, shipping, and arrival to our local airport was seamless. I was a bit anxious about shipping a board to mainland via airline cargo, but we received real time updates and the board arrived in pristine condition. I also got the HSS mesh sock, which is breathable and padded. I appreciate the extra protection on the nose, and the buckle closure makes it feel secure. If you are nervous about shipping a board long distance, I hope my testament puts your mind a bit at ease; order with Hawaiian South Shore. I'm looking forward to visiting the shop next time we are in town!

These guys are unreal! They had the exact travel bag I needed, they sent me a link for easy payment and then they even had the nerve to send me a video of them fitting a board similar in shape and size to assure me that it fit. Unreal I tell you! Amazing customer service from Chykka and gang!
