Simon's Pawnbroker

Simon's pawn shop is a stay away be warned, do not enter, enter at your own risk! Recently I had auto problems and needed money for repairs so I talked to Simon because I've known him for twenty years and I asked him if he would take my art in as collateral for a loan. He said sure, so he loaned me individual prices for each piece I brought in. Then when I needed to do a show I went to get back some pieces I needed and he would not give me them back, he insisted on giving me back the ones HE WANTED TO GIVE BACK !! Simply because he wanted to steal my works from me! I asked him, "You want to keep my art don't you?" He responded "DEFINITELY." Then his wife Marta says, "Don't come back unless you're with the police!" I've had many downfalls with this Pawn Shop over the last twenty years and many times we made up but the bottom line is he just doesn't deal fairly with me and now he's holding my art ransom. This is the honest truth.

Want to share my personal experience. We have gotten ourselves into a very difficult financial situation. After running around the city finally ended up at Simon's pawnbroker's on Church street in downtown Toronto .I had to sell my husband's watch and jewelry. The owners of the store had explained to me the option to pawn for now and decide later if I want to sell the items later if I needed more money. Compared to other stores Simon's had provided me with very quick service and detailed information of my jewelry's
value without any attitude. Thanks you have been a lifesaver.

I was debating on what do do with my mothers estate after her passing. Not knowing the value, I ventured out to church street - hoping to find some help.
I was not disappointed, when I walked into Simon,s pawnbrokers.
The owner was pleasant and very helpful.
He explained in detail every item and it's value.; the option to sell or pawn.
No pressure to sell , the decision was left up to me.
After comparing the quote, I have returned to Simon's to sell my item.
Great, fast service, pleasant experience in the end.
Will be Back for sure.

Now here is a decent guy that treats everybody that walks in with dignity.
Every time I get in a little bit of trouble I know that he will give me the right amount and he does it quietly and you are in and out in less than 5 minutes.
Great customer service.

I was able to find a two tone original Rolex bracelet here for my watch. The bracelet was in excellent condition, although a bit dirty. In stead of giving Rolex 3 grand, I gave Simon 6 c's.
I'll be back for more deals like this one.
