I have been in the carpentry trades for 37 years. Started my business 31 years ago after apprentice and journeyman training through the carpenter's union in Illinois. We did everything involved in building a house except the mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical). Foundation to the roof. So, going through this process I was trained to do things right or you don't do it at all. All work that is done in another's home is how I would do it in my own home.
