Events Party Rentals

We rented a tent from Events and put down a substantial deposit, only to be told a few months before our wedding that *surprise* we were going to be charged an additional $500 to have their "engineer" come out and inspect our tent - a demand that even the municipality we were getting our permit from had not made... Even though Events Rentals knew the size of tent we were ordering from DAY ONE, they "forgot" to mention that there is an additional $500 fee to their "buddy" aka "the engineer". Understandably angry, we argued this point and we were told TWO MONTHS before our wedding that he wanted to give us back our deposit and not provide service. NOWHERE in the contract does it state you have to pay for an engineer, and NOWHERE in their explanation does it tell you that you have to have one for a tent larger than a certain amount of square feet. Do your homework people and avoid these people like the plague - unless you want your event or wedding stomped on by the ignorant jerk who runs the company. We found someone else thank goodness and will never recommend or do business with this jerkoff again. Beware!
