About SRI Homes The first SRI factory (Shelter Home Systems), located in Estevan, SK began building homes in 1978. In 1985, the second SRI factory (SRI Regent), in Lethbridge, AB was acquired. Rounding out the Western Canadian factories (SRI Kelowna), the Kelowna factory began producing homes in 1992. To date, over 45,000 homes have been built between the three factories.
