Darrell Howe Mortuary has been serving families in Boulder and beyond for over a century. In 1909, Albert Edward (A.E.) Howe partnered with Holley and Howe Funeral Directors to meet the burial needs of local families. He also served as the first Boulder County Coroner from 1914-1934. Several of A.E.'s sons and grandsons have operated funeral homes in the area. A.E.'s grandson, Norman, completed mortuary school in 1958, and with his father's help, purchased Henning Mortuary in Lafayette, which would later become Darrell Howe Mortuary, a family-owned and -operated funeral home.
