The last time I experienced this kind of pushy sales tactic was from a door to door salesman. The first woman I had showing me frames (once I had my eye exam) was really lovely. When she told me it was going to cost me $700 for a pair of glasses I said there is no way I am paying that or can pay that. I have never paid more than 300 for a pair. I don't need designer frames or all the extras..which is what they claim you need. She said she would get the owner over to see what he could do. I said no please don't. I will come back when my finances allow. He came over anyway. Scribbling away on his paper, talking down to me, making me almost cry with embarrassment because I don't have 700$ to spend. His end result was the best he could do was $300. I had a Groupon for $250 worth of product. He said how are you going to pay. I said debit. He quickly grabbed the machine stuck it at me and said "that 300$". I said that is with my Groupon off right?? Nope he said. So I am still paying $550 for a single pair of glasses. I left. My daughter has RayBans from Lens Crafters for 300$ and her script is 10x stronger than mine. They claim it doesn't matter what your script is they are all $399..just for the lenses!! Stay away from this place. Disgusting.

On top of being a rip off, with pushy sales people that wont listen to you, instead shoving products in your face, the owner of the business showed up on the days I went for an eye exam, lied about his product and became deliberately confrontational to the point where he made me cry in public, after insulting my intelligence. The company conned me into spending an extra 90.00 without explaining why, or how, and he refused to explain what their policy was, instead saying I should "just understand" after calling me stupid.

The service was slow, and their product is overpriced for something that isnt even that great. The lenses are cheap and not worth the money you spend on them.

Furthermore, they offered a refund policy but he refused simply because he "didnt want to." He walks up to customers and yells at them.

Save your money and your dignity, and buy something of actual quality from Zenni Optical. Go ANYWHERE ELSE in Ontario, but not this place. There is an optical centre a five second walk down the hall from this one, go there.

I should have known to run for the hills when I was told I would be served once he was "in a good mood." If you EVER hear an employee tell you that you have to wait to be served to make sure that staff are "in a good mood" and thus willing to actually do their job, just walk out...and report them to the better business bureau ASAP.
