I brought in my eye exam prescription and eye frames into Fuji Optical for progressive lenses. The lenses were ready in about a week. It all went downhill from there. When I picked these up, I was having problems with the focus. These were the first progressive lenses I had ever worn and I was advised that I would need about a week to get used to them, and that I could bring these back within 30 days. (I later learned from another optician that this is not true, you should know immediately if the lenses are not fitted properly) One week later, I was still having focus issues and so I brought these back. The optician on site (male) insisted that there was no issue with the lenses and that they were made correctly. He insisted that it was the optometrist who erred with the prescription. He then said that there was a problem with the eye frames. Of course it was always someone's fault and not his. nn I told him that I was getting headaches and could not wear the glasses all day and that I was not seeing clearly in the distance. He then had the nerve to tell me that as long as I could see something that should be good enough. Seriously, for the couple hundred dollars that I spend on these lenses you'd think that I should at least be able to see with these glasses. Anyway, their 30 day guarantee is a joke. The guy refused to do anything, least of all, cut a new pair of lenses so that I could see. You are on your own once you pay. There is no guarantee, there is no after-help, there is nothing but the charge on your Visa card. I may as well have thrown that money in the garbage. These folks do not stand behind their work and will say everything to get out of helping you if there is an issue. If there were a way I could give zero stars to Fuji Optical, I would.nnI contrast this with the next optical store that I went to in Markham, that had a 90 day guarantee and they re-cut my lenses until I was completely satisfied. The optician there was very helpful in making sure that the lenses were correctly fitted. For progressive lenses, you will know right away if the lenses are not cut correctly.
