Staples, Winnipeg Reviews (8)
nobody knows how to pick up a phone in that store, I called to check stock on an item and the phone just rings, and rings, and rings, nobody cares and you can't even get a receptionist or manager on the phone. Just crap, I wonder if they will reimburse you for gas, if you drive all the way down there and the item you are looking for is out of stock?
Incredible! I stood in the store for 30 minutes last week waiting for help with a printer question. Not 1 person on the floor anywhere! Asked for manager and left after another 10 mins of waiting for her/him. Phoned today and option for speaking to sales associate disconnected me while I was on hold. On hold now trying to get a manager. As the other reviews say, stay away from this place. I'm on my way to Costco to buy the same printer for more money but a ton of peace of mind. Worth the extra $20.00.
I phoned MANY times today to ask a question about an order. Never once was the phone answered... it just kept on ringing & ringing. Really great business! Now I have to jump into my car & drive just to ask my question. Waste of time!
Had 2 computers from Staples- was lucky to have coverage- BUT I had all my dealings with Ghislain -GEE and he was terric
Do not purchase the computer extended warranty as it is a joke. You will be without your computer for 4 weeks each time it is sent in. They repaired my original problem & created another one that they claim they cannot recreate. Everyone you speak to in customer sevice require 48 hours to respond. If you ask for a supervisor, they will not call you back. I called the US Chairman & Chief executive Officer Ron Sargent& their office took two days & three calls later to get someone from Staples Canada to call me back. Do not bother to escalate as Steve Matyas-President will not speak to you. He is out of touch with his customer base! My advise.....buy your computer elsewhere. Stay away from Staples Business Depot.Customer satisfaction is definitely not a priority.
Over the years I have dealt with many different types of stores while shopping for computers (mostly for business purposes). About 2 or 3 years ago my search for a good solid reliable computer store ended when I found the Staples Regent store and a guy named Lee. To date, I have bought 4 computers from him for various clients, friends and family members. All of those people appreciate meeting Lee. So here it is in a nut shell: The Store, it's products and it's sales people are who you should be dealing with to get the computer you need and want. David W. Smith, Community Safety Officer
My suggestion is do not buy any laptop from Staples. They have a very horrible warranty plan. And if something goes back with your laptop they do not repair it properly, and offer you a buyout at 40% of the original price. Imagine a product depreciating 60% of its original price within a year.
On the top of it, the manager at the 3150 Dufferin store in Toronto is a very rude and impolite lady. Her name is Chanda. From what me and other of my friends have experienced from that lady, I would strongly suggest you not to do any business with Staples.
