My name is Donald Dakota Grit owner of Grit & Sons. We are the product of a 3rd generation family owned and operated business which started with my grandfather Donald Grit. My grandfather built homes in Winston-Salem in the 1960's. My grandfather built his home in Wilkes county in 1983 and it was at this time he created a septic installation company serving Wilkes and the surrounding counties. Over the years our company has been involved in every outside aspect of new home construction. Now in 2024 we as a company have decided to earn our intermidiate General Contractor License with the goal to help our local community and bring quality homes at an affordable price. We are a custom home contractor who wants to connect with our customers and care about their wants and needs. Whether that is to have as much space as they can for their budget or creating a one of a kind getaway for their family and investments. We are a company that does not compromise morality and character for money but instead value relationships with customers, vendors, sub-contractors and employees.
