I have lived here for 5 years now, and I have to say that the new superintendent is an awesome person, he takes care of the building and I do not have to worry about drunks and druggies in this building now that the old ones are gone. It is very safe and I am happy now that I am on the 4th floor with nobody over my head. I lived on the 3rd floor for the first 4 years when I had somebody below me making a racket from 12 am to 3 am, thought he was building a house down there, when I told the old superintendent about it she just said we cannot do anything he has been here for so long and he has a disability, its funny I talked to the police one day and they told me I could have called the police on him, after 11, there should be less noise in a building. Well now that I am on the 4th floor, its nice and quiet and I love my place, I would recommend this place in a heartbeat, way to go super, you are a great person. you are doing an awesome job.
A classless dump befitting this city. The upstairs neighbour is a juvenile delinquent going on 30 years of age and doesn't have the good sense that God gave little chickens so if apartment 15 ever is available, do not take it. I lived there and left because the guy upstairs is a moron. He bangs around at 5 in the morning, stomping his feet like an angry heavy overweight disgusting manchild that he is, can make all the noise he wants decorating his apartment but beware if you do, you're not allowed is how he acts. Also, the rental superintendent living in unit #8 has a pedophile for a husband who gawks at my 12 year old stepdaughter and led to her being in counselling and having family and childrens service worker support us getting out of this toxic dump, largely due to these pair of dynamic morons. The day I got the callback from the property manager after having called seven times in 90 minutes before I started work to let me know we were released in 30 days from our lease on mutual agreement was a blessing and no disguise needed. Now my family can be a family, surrounded by other like minded and decent people, instead of the above described trailer trash, coward's edition.
The building is very clean, great security and location but the superintendents (all 3 of them) are very sneaky.
They watch the cameras all day long to see who is coming and going.
They gossip about all other tenants to see who will gossip back and who will not. The ones that gossip back will get work done to their apt first. The ones that don't get pushed to the bottom of the list. Still waiting on work to be done and it's been a year. The tenants that do gossip about others, watch the parking lot and if they see a car not in the right spot they call the parking authority before contacting the superintendent to get the issue resolved. There is no visitor parking. They cater to the "community workers" before any other tenant. Those tenants will get a parking spot before anyone else regardless of the type of employment.
Make sure you have your assigned parking spot in writing, if not they will give it so someone else and not tell you. Apparently it's up to you to ask for the parking spot when you renew your lease. They will not bring it up and will give it to someone else.
If you have a problem with the superintendent good luck getting a hold of the owner. The Effort Trust office bounces your calls back to the superintendent. You can't seem to go higher up than that.
