I lived at 50 Graydon Hall Dr for just under 3 years. nice area, management and maintenance workers are pretty nice. the superintendent tends to be dismissive of any issues you bring up to him. As of March 2021 there are certainly roaches in this building - though not in an excessive number. I can't speak for any bedbugs, my unit was always free from that - but I did see the odd roach in my unit, and on several occasions the elevators. the elevators are EXTREMELY slow, (especially with covid restrictions) and oftentimes only one is moving while the rest sit on random floors. Also, you are forced to use/pay for Rogers internet and cable services in this building, they dont have lines for Bell or anyone else, which I was not informed of when I put my deposit down. I had one of the newly renovated units, which means new kitchen appliances only. make sure to check the vent above the stove in your kitchen if you move in, they don't change the filters when people move out and paint over the screws as I found out when taking it down to clean it. the area surrounding the apartment is nice, youll have to get used to the highway noise when you sleep, lots of riceburners ripping down the 401. all things considered the place isn't a bad place to live - this review is meant to reveal information that I would have liked to have known before I moved in, and I would've stayed had it not been for the ability to work from home and seek a more affordable housing arrangement outside of the city.

On June 7, 2016 in daylight hours there were two break-ins in two different apartments at 100 Graydon Hall. Doors were broken into and property was stolen from the apartments. There appears to be no security cameras in the hallways or in the staircases. We would like the tenants to know this is not a safe building. Garage doors are left-open all day long, anyone can walk in and enter the building while a tenant is entering. Security cameras are only installed in some entrances and the garage.
1. How often does management check the cameras?
2. Have we been approached by the owners to compensate us?
Not so far
We would like to advice you, do not leave any valuables in your apartment the building will not return any valuables nor they will compensate you. However, the building was nice enough to replace or doors. Stay Safe.
Note: There were no permanent supers on the 7th of June.

We choose this area because it was halfway between myself who worked downtown and my roommate who was working at Victoria Park Avenue. It was really convenient to access two buses - the 122 in front of the building and the 95 on Don Mills road. It was also convenient to be able to walk 10 minutes to the Don Mills Subway. I also had the option to drive 1-2 minutes to Fairview Mall and park my car and take the subway (after 9:30am the parking is free, and it is $6 before). The location is peaceful - has lovely trees, and the building we stayed at has decent tenants - mostly hardworking people and families. Everyone I encountered were pleasant and mostly keep to themselves.

The unit we rented was newly renovated, and done so tastefully, so we were quite pleased to have such enormous space. We shared a two-bedroom which had more than 1250 square units of space. The front-facing balcony also has a lovely view of the downtown and is really pleasant to sit, relax and enjoy on any lovely day. My friend grew plants on the balcony and they did really well there.

The staff is kind and nice people and were attentive to our needs.

The real down side of the unit is the outside. I was unable to secure underground parking so I had to park on top of the hill and walk up and down it to get into the unit. It's not so much fun in the winter, especially scraping snow off my car, but it really wasn't that bad - the winter was pretty mild. They were pretty attentive in showing. The parking lot is in need of serious repair, as does the outside of the building (the back looks pretty grimy). There are renovations taking place, but I am not sure how soon it be before it will start looking in better shape.

The lobby also needs work and I wished they made the hallways newer and replaced the carpet. I guess you can't get everything.

Despite all this, our unit was so spacious and lovely, that it was a pleasant experience and it was pretty peaceful living there. If you get a two bedroom and split a rent, it's a great value as you can pay probably $700 each which is excellent value considering what Toronto rentals go for.

I am currently struggling. living at 100 Graydon Hall Dr and have managed to survive here for 3 years. Don't get me wrong it's not all bad, the community is great, the people are friendly, pets are welcomed in this apartment and the bonus is the convenience of living near the station, highway and fairview mall. I seriously believe the review below me is from the old management of Graydon Hall, because no one who lives here thinks so highly of Graydon Hall apartments. I wish I could say my suite looks as nice as the one in the pictures but instead I live in the old rundown version of that. We have cracks in the ceiling and walls due to water damage, the lights don't work half the time even after getting the super to fix it. The elevators are constantly breaking down. In fact there's a guarantee 10-15 minute wait period for the elevators in the morning when going to work because most of the time only one or two elevators are working. The ceiling in the basement is in shambles, holes everywhere with wires visible. A few washers and dryers don't work. Just last week it took management 3 days to get the heat working in mine and some of the other tenants suites we had to use portable heaters, comforters and layers of clothing to keep ourselves warm at night. Every summer to fall they do construction on the apartment they told us it would all be finished in a year and its been two years. Construction is still not complete! The noise is loud and constant and despite it all the outside of the building still looks old and rusty. The newly updated office downstairs is luxury compared to what we live in, it's totally misleading. Oh and lets not forget the roach and bed bug infestation! They are everywhere and no matter how much they claim they spray or use that gel they keep coming back even though I keep my apartment clean, dry and spotless! Its no wonder that a new management took over last month and most of the former lazy employee's were fired and replaced. I'm hoping this new management will do a better job otherwise I'm going to see about getting a new place to live.

I don't know why people are talking against it, but it is a really nice place to live. And clean.
The Mnagament is so nice, but I've seen rude tenants just taking out their own frustrations on them.
I never had problems with them, they always came through in solving any issue I had.
Been here 4 years, not moving out.

Since I don't have a car, I use TTC a lot. The building has great location. There is 112 bus stop in front of the building, 25 on Don Mills, Don Mills Subway station is nearby. I have grocery store nearby. Very convenient place.
I've been here for almost 2 years and had no problems.
I have very nice neighbors, too.

Great family place to live. Very clean building, amazing view, the management is very responsive. I had some problem with a door, they came very quickly and fixed it.
My kids love it too and lots of green space for our dog to run.

I was moving to Toronto for a work assignment and needed a place quick. The staff were friendly. They showed me around the place, helped me find a unit I liked. I was offered the choice of darker floors for a nominal fee, which I went for. When move in day came, everything was in perfect working order. All new freshly painted walls, re-stained floors—it was great.

Thanks team!

I can't help but yell how awful it is to live in a building where you see a couple management or whatever people always at the lobby (now I suppose they keep a watch on who is home and when) because even though elevators have cameras, no one was found who made robberies. It has been going on since last year. And last 2 months ago. And last month, and 3 Robberies in oct-nov 2014. I am going to take action on this graydon hall. How is it that the robbers come when no one is home and never get caught. Someone is definitely involved from the building

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APARTMENT, NOR ANYTHING FROM GH CAPITAL.

1. They specifically show apartments in 100 and 150 if you are from a low income family, as those buildings are not very well maintained, especially the building across 100 Graydon Hall, which I believe is 150. When you go take a tour, you will see what I mean. The hallways are dirty, there are bugs/cockroaches which they will tell you that 1. they don't have any; or 2. they had an exterminator come in long time ago.

2. The 50 Graydon Hall Building compare to the other two buildings are maintained a lot better, but they won't offer you or show you that building if you have small children. - This is called discrimination, and it is against the law. However, if you don't have children, and don't like to deal with them, then I guess 50 is good, just make sure you ask for it.

3. All properties have constant issues with their units. It's an old building, so constant fixing is unavoidable, however, most of the time, they will dismiss the problem if you complaing about it, unless you personally email their head office! Please remember to ALWAYS email thier head office about EVERYTHING that goes wrong, or else, in the long run, you are screwed if you ever want to take them to the tribunal.

4. All three buildings have heating issue. The apartments are very cold during the winter in most of the units. Due to the fact that they are old buildings, the windows are not properly sealed, and would need to replace them, but because they will not choose that option, lot of cold air are coming from the windows, which no matter what they try to do for you, it will not solve the problem. If you still decide to choose to live there, make sure you choose the units that do not have big windows through out the apartment unit, you may have a bit better quality of heating during the winter time, and I said... a bit.

These are the four of the main issues that I have encountered as a tenant there. This message is just for people to be aware of issues and conditions before choosing them, because if I knew that there were all these problems, I would definiately not have chose them.

There are a lot of vacant units in these buildings...and there's a reason why. There are plenty of properties other than these specific buildings that are affordable.

Please remember, YOU PAY WHAT YOU GET FOR. The building manamgent records everything, so please make sure if you do live there, cover your behind and document EVERYTHING.

Hope this helps!

P.s. there are other buildings on Graydon Hall as well, but I'm specifically talking about the 50, 100 and 150 which belongs to GH Captial.

Wow. The review looks like it's written by 20 Graydon Hall. Classy. People, visit the units yourselves and judge the building. There's nothing wrong. They just finished installing new elevators, and now there building a new underground parking lot. They're constantly improving the building.
