Company that owns this building applies for rental increases over the maximum. Prepare to defend your legal rights when they give you an increase notice that is totally bogus.

When I emailed the head office rep asking for the file number for the application to the landlord and tenant board (for the increase) he gave me a fake number.

Completely sketchy.

Making visitors pay for parking is insane. There are only four spots, and the machine eats coins. One time my girlfriend ended up putting in 10 dollars (because the first 6 were eaten) to get an overnight parking pass. We went out for dinner that night and when we came back there were no spots left. She couldn't get her money back, so I told her to park in my spot (since my car was in the shop). Next morning, she had a ticket for parking in a private space. We tried to call to get it reversed, but they don't answer.

+1 to the previous poster about the illegal charges as well. Be prepared to check everything they ask for, because a lot of it is unwarrented.

First things first, the building Manager is great and the property is maintained fairly well. My gripe is about this company as a whole.

If you rent here be prepared....

- visitor parking is paid, the machine will eat your money and your friends will get ticketed. Your complaints will fall on deaf ears
- The landlord will illegally charge you for ridiculous things, such as annual a/c wall unit charges even though your lease is all inclusive
- The landlord will try to raise your rent above the maximum guidelines without proper documentation (hoping that you aren't too bright and will just pay it blindly)
- The landlord will bill you for "back rent" when you owe nothing, and then admit it was an error when you call to complain (again, hoping you will pay it blindly)
- If you consult the landlord and tenant board, and then confront the landlord on their lies and illegal practices they will refuse to awknowledge you or return your calls.
- Landlord does not seem interested in putting anything in writing, only phone calls. When they admit their "errors" and agree to send a letter of explaination.... do not hold your breath.


Again, very happy with my apartment. The Super is a great and caring guy. The corporation is full of theifs. Enter at your own risk. You could be very here as long as you are prepared to defend your rights and research the legality of everything they ask for.
