Going way back to 1972, Bill Marshall began working with his friend, and future partner, Gene Minogue, who taught him the ins and outs of taxes on the side. To pay the bills, Marshall went on to work a couple of different jobs, until he was asked by Minogue to work for him at his practice. After falling ill, Minogue sold the business to Bill Marshall, and that is how it became Marshall and Associates. Marshall, the owner, and lead tax preparer, graduated with a bachelor's in marketing, from SLU, and went on to complete his master's in business at Centenary. In 1998, he completed the process of becoming an enrolled agent, which is the highest credential awarded by the IRS among tax professionals.
