I would like to take the privilege to welcome you all in Gono Bishwabidyalay (GB) which has been established with the spirit of our war of independence. It is a great honour and pleasure for me to have been appointed as Vice Chancellor (Acting) of Gono Bishwabidyalay by the Trustee Board of Gono Bishwabidyalay. May I take the opportunity to express my deep gratitude to the honourable members of the Trustee Board of Gono Bishwabidyalay. Gono Bishwabidyalay (GB) – a University with a difference is one of the leading private Universities in Bangladesh has been established to create new consciousness and commitment in the field of education, particularly to foster social development and human welfare. A very special mission of GB is to help the female members of the society, students from low-income families, children of martyrs and ethnic minorities through teaching and related activities. This University is going to celebrate its 24th Anniversary very soon. It has the largest campus among all other private universities and started academic activities from the very beginning when private universities started in the country. It has made tremendous progress during the last 23 years of its pursuit of excellence in higher education. The graduates are serving their motherland with pride. They are also serving different parts of the world as good ambassadors from Bangladesh.
