Lord Harley Apartments

This review is specifically for Diane the building manager, not for Cornerstone properties or the Lord Harley building in itself. I recently googled the contact information for Cornerstone properties and was surprised to find some negative comments on the internet on Diane, the building manager. For those that see those, please know that those are written by disgruntled trouble makers who go on the internet for revenge by making vindictive claims. Diane is actually a respectful, good-hearted and excellent building manager that has always been on top of repairs and other concerns. I've gotten to know a few of the other tenants in the building since moving here and they including myself have had nothing but good things to say about her. If on the other hand, you are a tenant who disturbs the wellbeing of others by smoking inside or on the property (not allowed here), excessively blares their loud music all the time, etc etc, then yes she will probably have a few words for you and so she should. As someone who has lived in other buildings throughout college, I really appreciate that she deals with disrespectful/destructive sh** heads right away as this is not a frat house or a building in crack town. Yes, she's on the louder side but that is just naturally how she is. As for the claim about her entering tenants apartments without their permission is complete and utter BS. She's always required a written note from me to enter my apartment when I'm not home, even when I tell her it's ok. Don't be influenced by negative, deceitful comments posted by people who have been evicted due to really bad behaviour.

I received a ph call in reference to Diane the building manager at the lord Harley, my friend was looking for an apartment and was looking at the reviews,she said didn't you live there before? I asked my friend why and she said someone wrote terrible things about her so I looked and thought wow that is definitely not her, I told my friend Diane is the most friendly landlord I ever had, when things broke down in my apartment Ken would fix it right away. When I moved in the apartment it was so clean you could eat off the floor. I had a problem with tenants below me they partied all the time, Diane told me to write a complain letter which I did, don't know what she told them but the parties stopped.i personally would live there again if I was to move back to Victoria. I highly recommend her.

I signed a letter of Guarantee with Diane for my daughter who was going to school in Victoria. It was her first time away from home and my husband and I were extremely nervous. We looked around for a long time before settling on the Lord Harley Apartments. In contrast to the other buildings we viewed, the apartments were well maintained, updated, clean and spatious. We also felt immediate comfort with Diane and knew that our daughter would be in good hands. Diane always appears on top of everything and my daughter reports feeling safe there. The building has been undergoing construction so it has been a bit noisey at times which is to be expected. In lieu of the inconvenience of the renos, the tenants were given a break on the rent which I feel was fair. Highly recommended!

The person who wrote that review obviously has major issues. Either they are always negligent on their rent, or are having some other form of issues abiding by the residential tenancy act. If you want to live as you like without rules, keeping your home unclean and susceptible to rodent infestations, or partying all the time, go buy a house. I've been living at the Lord Harley apartments for several years and I can say with absolute certainty that Diane is the best manager I have ever come across. If she retires, I will likely move because I can see this building deteriorating in a hurry. Unless of course they are able to get another manager who cares as much about the tenants and living conditions as Diane does. I have never, ever had a problem with her. She is a very hard worker, extremely diligent and on top of everything. People always have to whine and snivel and point the finger at other people for their problems. It's pathetic really. I normally don't write reviews but when I happened to come across this when I was looking what was available to rent for a friend, I had to say something. It's really an inaccurate depiction and really unjustified. People need to get a life. If you're unhappy, take responsibility and do something about it. Don't hide behind the Internet to seek revenge writing nasty things about people who you feel wronged you. I'm not friends with Diane. I barely have contact with her at all. She leaves me alone which I like. Why? Ummm probably because I pay my rent on time and don't cause any problems. Perhaps others should try that as well.

Landlady Diane is the worse. Loud & rude, lady has no class. Building is clean but not because she cleans. She has been caught going into tenants apartments without permission and Cornerstone does nothing about it,, Never heard a good word about her
