This marina is a family run business, the owners and sons are very friendly and accommodating to the customers, The Green family works very hard to make sure their customers are looked after and they go the extra mile in many ways as with events like BBQ's and the Autumn Pig Roast to bring the marina patrons together for a fun filled event with good food and good times. This is what makes this marina so special, it is a great place. The marina lobby is currently being renovated and this takes time but is coming along and will be a great place to get together. Boaters at this marina are like one big family- we all look out for one another and if you ask anyone, they will be more than happy to help you. The marina is a "green marina" with a recycling program and initiatives in place to protect the environment.

I am a former boater from this marina. The place went downhill very quickly once the new owners took over 5yrs ago. The place is now a pigsty, run by trailer trash type people. What made me switch was that the rates kept going up each year and there was no upgrades to the property or service. The lighting at night is brutal, they replaced proper lights with these little solar lights on the decks. One night I came in and almost hit the dock since the lighting was very poor. Just to give you an idea of the personnel that started to show up at this marina. There was picnic tables on the main dock and drunken boaters would frequent the tables for hours making noise and acting like children that just discovered alcohol. The straw that broke the camels back was when I witnessed a boater driving a golf cart on the main dock in a drunken stuper. This is a time bomb, for a few hundred dollars more you can have a great slip next door with civilized people and no trailer trash patrons or management. Beware this place is unsafe and an accident waiting to happen.
