Majestic Marble Import, CONCORD Reviews (1)
I had a bad experience with Majestic Marble. I had measurements done for a granite countertop and put down a deposit (mistake on my part).
When I reviewed their calculations, I noticed they were high (45 sq ft instead of 38 sq ft that I calculated). I asked about this and they said it was for "wastage", industry standard. It turns out they rounded up each piece, and rounding varied (e.g. 2.25 sq ft becomes 3 sq ft, 7.5 sq ft becomes 8 sq ft, etc). I asked for a copy of the bill and they wouldn't give it to me, said they would mail it instead. He hadn't told me about some charges like $150 for a sink hole polish.
I asked for my deposit back but they said the three employees there didn't know how to use the credit card machine, and I'd have to come back. I called many times but the response was always that the sales person was with another customer. He never called me back. I told the receptionist I was going to come in person and I'd be there in 20 minutes. When I got there, the store was closed and the lights were off, even though it was still within there business hours. I went in the back door and found the sales guy. I started talking to him, then he said he had to deal with another customer and left me in mid conversation. After being persistent for 30 minutes, I finally persuaded him to give me a refund. He was rude and joked with another staff member that I was cheap. Very unprofessional.
